Both Weasel Whateley and Slob Robbo Just described Carlton losing to us as their Doomsday Scenario.
Typical of the lack of respect those VFL Cheerleaders display to our club and our players.
Added motivation for Sunday. I want a special effort on Sunday....bloody shove it up them!!
I didn’t watch it so don’t know what they said, but I mean they are not wrong in the sense that if Carlton lose this weekend they are sitting at 0-4 and who knows where their first win comes from. That’s a bit of a doomsday scenario for them.
Meanwhile we were supposed to be the one team guaranteed to be worse then them and would be sitting at 3-1. Seeing us, Brisbane, St Kilda, Freo, Bulldogs (all the teams at the bottom of the ladder last year) putting multiple wins on the board while they are sat with 0wins would be horrible.
If it was them saying ‘Carlton need to beat GC because everyone should’ though, then yeah let’s stick it up em.
Big game. I hope the idea of a 3-1 start is pushing the players to get ready and not take this game lightly. Gonna be tight.
I love your staunch defence of this club and city but they meant it to be more of a doomsday in regards to their season overall. Not everything is about us and not everything needs outrage. Chill. It’s that usual lowly Vic VFL attitude of sure you are 0-3 but how can you lose to the GC.
No worries though...we will keep sending them electricity while they bloviate CO2 with their disdain.
There are many non GC resident board members that will always be sympathetic to the almighty VFL Media...just gotta keep pushing on and speaking the truth.
The Vic media also love to go after a coach when their team is struggling. I get the feeling this is just the lead in to applying the blow torch to Bolton if they lose. Both Weasel Whateley and Slob Robbo Just described Carlton losing to us as their Doomsday Scenario.

I haven't been as impressed with Burgess. Has definitely come in and played his role and probably won't be dropped. I'm not sure I see anything outstanding in his game though, and wouldn't mind having a look at Day or Corbett in the same position. No way we drop Burgess.
He has been more than serviceable this year and even underrated a bit. And he competes so well in the air and on the ground.
He should have had atleast 3 on the weekend. 1: he made great position running into goal and the ball bounced over his head. 2: he took an awesome mark in near the goal square that wasnt paid, which at the very least was a blatant arm chop free kick.
He nearly took that grab in the square v st kilda which would have won us the game... he just needs to convert those nearly chances into goals which im sure he will do in the near future.
I reckon he will kick a bag in the next few weeks.
This. Those two muppets on 360 lead the charge against carlton every chance they get. I know Vic media is perceived to be pretty rubbish to those out of Vic but the simple fact is that most of them are just gutter journos. Fanboys masquerading as experts with ever growing egos. The Vic media also love to go after a coach when their team is struggling. I get the feeling this is just the lead in to applying the blow torch to Bolton if they lose.
We're good at getting Carlton coaches sacked, so I reckon we get it done againBoth Weasel Whateley and Slob Robbo Just described Carlton losing to us as their Doomsday Scenario.

No changes - save the firepower cause it’s all uphill after these games (starting with Adelaide next week)
Ummm look like Sam Day in for Lukosius .
Ummm look like Sam Day in for Lukosius .
Both holman and Joyce are locked in best 18, if they don't injure themselves tomorrow they are certain starter ,would love to see the NEAFL team to well too .The same emergencies as last week except GHS for Scheer? No changes except maybe the hyphen for Holman? Joyce? (Who he came in for). Don’t know who he comes in for.
Hopefully we get to see Ainsworth run around in the NEAFL and prove he can get through it.
Joyce’s 50th if he plays I think?
For Powell?!Hopefully Horlin-Smith gets into the side. Really keen to see how he goes @ metricon. Comes in for Murdoch in defense or Powell on the wing for mine. Would keep Joyce in personally
Horlin-Smith is rather slow so he would be replacing a Holman perhaps if you had to fit Horlin-Smith in. His leadership would be invaluable in a game where we are favorites, making sure the lads are doing all the right things.
They can drop anyone tomorrow. People read too much in to extended benches and who's on the field. Means very little.Holman named at HF I thought they only dropped the players named on the bench on extended squad announcement
