Yeah, that's pretty much how I see itSidey in for Fin is an obvious one then its whether one of Sullivan or HH get a game as sub over one of WHE/Lipinski imo

Hawthorn's midfield is very strong physically, fin would get pushed aside too easily. I think he needs another block in the VFL. He could be a permanent fixture by the end of the year but at this stage, I doubt he gets a game this weekIts quite hilarious seeing Macrae written off after one game, in what is the toughest trip in footy against an experienced midfield.
Setting him for failure playing him sub for 2 weeks then throwing him against the wolves, play him against the Hawks then reassess after the bye
I'd bring Sidey back as sub for MacraeThey wont put Lippa as sub in his 100th game
Like we knew they wouldn't put bobby as sub in his 50th game last year when people wanted him dropped or subbed.
WHE could be sub, as if nick plays off half back, there is no place for him on the ground.
He's not so much written off as shelved pending an uplift in performance. I trust the selectors to determine whether he is worthy of another game or not.Its quite hilarious seeing Macrae written off after one game, in what is the toughest trip in footy against an experienced midfield.

You make it sound like McRaes small - At 188cm he’s bigger than all of them - he’ll be fine.Hawthorn's midfield is very strong physically, fin would get pushed aside too easily. height doesn't equal strength. You make it sound like McRaes small - At 188cm he’s bigger than all of them - he’ll be fine.
If Macrae was slight you’d have point but he’s not. His body size is fine.height doesn't equal strength.
he might have to learn how to tackle then as easily gets brushed aside.Whether that's due to technique, timidness or very poor physical strength. Something he needs to improve on big time.If Macrae was slight you’d have point but he’s not. His body size is fine.
I doubt he plays this week, either wayYou make it sound like McRaes small - At 188cm he’s bigger than all of them - he’ll be fine.
Maybe he's TOO big. As a slipping through the cracks rather than a biff and bash sort of mid, maybe he needs to be smaller to be effective in his role. You make it sound like McRaes small - At 188cm he’s bigger than all of them - he’ll be fine.
Tbh I completely forgot about Sidey. In which case it’s probably Sidey for Fin and WHE the sub.I agree, maybe Sidey for WHE
I'd be happy with any margin. It's a game we need to bankIf we don't beat Hawthorn by at least 5 goals, our season is done.
I'd keep it simple, it was a 4 quarter performance, even the second q when they threw the kitchen sink at us, we held up, figured out the way forward after the main break and they got the job done, mature second half.
In: Sidebottom
Out: Macrae
Sub: WHE
Took us 27 seasons to draw level with 16 flags with Carlton ( and subsequently 22 seasons with Essendon.)Can we just knock off this mob and do it comfortably? Is that too much to ask? It seems to be given our record the past thirty years.
Exposed. It's the same coaching staff who finally realised to put Noble back in the team and Nick back on the half back flank. Also picking AJ for no reason when Reef had a stronger preseason.
Despite nabbing a flag, they're not geniuses at the best of times...
WHE was putrid outside of 2 plays. Despite all the talk of 'selection integrity' from the coach, he plays his favourites week in week out
Would be better if he didn't.Sidebottom might get a look
No it isn't. I'd like a five goal win but I'd take a one point win. Why would you make such a bold and rather silly declaration? If we don't beat Hawthorn by at least 5 goals, our season is done.

And even longer since we were outright leaders… 43 years…. 1980 was the last time we were clear leaders with 13 flags.
I digress but these things take time . Reckon we are set up for a long period of retribution with hawthorn. I reckon the tide has turned.
The only consolation is never having played and lost in a GF to them.I keep hoping.
Exposed.
