Zorks was responsible in one way or another for most of our clean entries and scoring in the first half.

Just don't understand why people want to get him out of the backline.

He's past M/F time. Especially in his present condition.
Go back and watch the first quarter again. Reef McInnes is a kid, got 2 uncontested marks in the f50. One of them Zorko gave up the chase and was literally 30m behind. He also kicked a goal from 15m out with Zorko 5m away flat footed guarding nobody.

At quarter time Zorko got taken off him and we barely saw him for the rest of the game. Got good clearance from Adams once.

Zorks offensive work has been great. His defensive work has been atrocious.

Really frustrated by our ball movement. We are not brave enough often enough to hit the man in the corridor. The opposition only have to defend one side. Before I hear it’s to stop the quick turnover,we should be better than that if we are to contend for a flag.
It doesn’t even stop the quick turnover because they outnumber us on the fat side and go bang bang and rebound out. Happened so frequently tonight

where is our win against the grain? it isn't there, we are not up to it, pal or not, round 4 or 20, nothing is different, pal
We may not be good enough to go all the way, who knows but to make this assumption based on a narrow round 5 win is ridiculous. Melbourne had a 9 game stretch during the middle of last year where they won just 4 games, including 2 losses to bottom 4 teams, a draw with another and a loss to GWS at the MCG. Richmond lost 6 games in 2019 by over 5 goals and they were clearly the best team in the comp that year. The week to week performances during the home and away season aren't that important dude, especially not this early on.

Can't believe people can support a team that is 2nd favourite for the flag, be a genuine top 4 side and be pissy with a win. No team, ever has going through an entire season playing perfect. Teams that go deep into finals find a way to win even when not in top form.

Prime time game and milestone game. These are 2 things that we have struggled with previously. People need to stop expecting 100 point perfect wins.

It is getting beyond a joke I feel!

Gees, a lot of grumpy people on here. A lot of people talking in definites. Half the team aren't good enough, drop him, sack him, he should never play again. It's round 5 and we are 4-1. Have a bit of perspective people.

Darcy looks like getting 2 or three weeks for his late hit. He could have really hurt the kid if he was full on, I do think he pulled back 20 or 30%. I don't think it was as bad as Coxs late knee in the back to Starce. It was later and caused more hurt. This gives Payne a chance to press his claims. I hope he goes well.

Berry was better again this week. Disposal better, runs both ways hard, in the guts of it doing the tough stuff, did a good job on Adams. A bit fumbly in the heat of the clearance contest.

I liked Lohmanns effort. Worth persisting with. Did enough to hold his spot for next week.

Ah Chee is having a great season. Has become Mr Reliable around the ground.

Sure we didn't play all that well, a lot of fumbles to pies players just on the outside of the contest letting them get away. Tidy that up and we look so much better. Collingwood played well tonight, their pressure was good, they ran hard and gained good space. Stuff to improve, work to do. Onwards and upwards.

Ah Chee is a lock on the wing as far as I'm concerned. Is only going to get better and better there with consistency in the role.

Robbo on the other hand, I think his last game is creeping up fast.

The HTB call on Gardiner was absurd. Ball was touched, wrapped up immediately with one hand pinned and both legs entwined with the pie player as he got twisted around. Literally his only other option was to throw or drop the ball which should be a free kick.
Nah. No prior. If he'd released the ball and at least made an attempt to kick it it's play on.

Never looked like losing tonight while playing nowhere near our best. Pretty boring game to watch, Fages on notice that we need more excitement.

I’d like to see Kai play a couple of games. Didn’t set the world on fire but he has something. He looks exciting.

Robbo is a liability below his knees. When ball is on the ground he often overruns it, or loses his feet. I feel like for us to progress further, it needs to be without Robbo in the team. Robbo out when Kiddy is back for mine.

Our discipline is generally bad but tonight we took it to a new level. Tonight we were indisciplined in the areas we kicked the ball and the types of hand balls we did were not just poor but lacked discipline.
I’ve seen a few comments like this recently but how are we sitting in the bottom 6/7 of free kicks against if we’re so ill disciplined?

Just got back home from the game.

Honestly other than being a bit frustrated with our midfield it was a great night. Honestly expected bigfooty to be less upset.

I really wasn't that stressed and it always felt like we were going to win.

no, if we want to be the best and win flags this crap doesn't happen, we are ruthless, we win big, we are highly skilled, we take no prisoners. At the moment we could lose to anyone. it is what it is.
I’m guessing by your logic our 3 peat team should be considered shit as they never won the minor premiership

As much as Mitch isn't what he was and he did fade tonight, he was probably the only guy winning any contested ball in the first quarter.

A positive. Joe's accuracy! some sloppy ones each game, but honestly i'm so impressed with him so far. A lot of his marks he is juggling it which is annoying, but that great mark right on the square was solid above his head (which he then decided to snap!??? good lord my poor heart) also he is leading the coleman I believe :D

Other than some slight strategy/team wise issues which we will sort out as we go, where we are let down is just individuals not performing to their standard on the day, and on some occasions multiple of them... Added on to that is some players really sloppy with their behavior, leads to some unneeded close games

Glass half full and all that : lets be glad to see the likes of Adams really settling down into his role, seeing Neale back to his best, Joe performing for us and doing more than what a lot of us I think thought, the sight of Rayner back out there, Bailey showing his goal smarts are continuing to rise etc.

plus... we beat those stinking pies! good riddance to bad rubbish I say

I just think we need more speed and run through mid/wings cannot see anyone else going out for say Sharp, Dev etc.
Ah Chee been doing some good things..
Neale, Lyons, Clugs and Berry not going to get dropped
Hence Mitch the most likely.. I getting a little worried about Answerth of late as well.
Not sure how far Kiddy is away.
No VFL this week.

I say why so much BF noise.. We could easily be 1-4 not 4-1.
Been top 4 a few years we just seem so scrappy. I know best to hit form in September.
Win ugly etc.. we just not flowing.. inside 50's Linc had the most.. Still something wrong in midfield.

I thought Robbo's first term was excellent. Sadly was close to unsighted after that.

While this is almost certainly his last season I'm still struggling to see who immediately comes in, works within the team structure and makes more of an impact than him. One thing I will say about him is that his pressure is consistently strong - he's good at putting his hands up, making himself seem big and worrying people out of possessions. One of those things that the likes of Sharp wouldn't be able to replicate if they came in. If there's a better option (and our list is pretty good, there likely is) I'm all for it but I can see why the coaching staff likes having him in there.
