Gee, I've had to revise my trades since Crouch isn't playing... but I think I'll keep him as my Vice Captain loophole man and trade out Kane Mitchell now!

Unfortunately, I don't have the cash for KMitchell -> Mayes as well as Hanley -> Birchall, so I'm going to take a punt on Taylor Duryea now, since Schoenmakers is out with his ACL. Should get some time up back, and doesn't look too shabby when he gets it.

i'd go lecras out of those 2. if u don't have cloke now i wouldn't bring him just yet. i reckon his scores the last 2 weeks have overinflated his value. i think lecras will give more consistency/value for money

True. 195 is ridiculous but 100+ can be expected, the pies midfield will only get stronger.

IMO Cloke is going to have a ripper season, but you may still get the odd 50 SC score. He should be near 100 ave tho.

Hmm that crouch out throws a spanner in my works, well potentially. I was originally going to trade Toumpas > Mayes. But then I had a better idea of going K. Lucas > Mayes and Jon Griffin > Franklin and move Cox into the ruck. Now though, if I do that second trade that would leave my midfield with Crouch, Toumpas and Viney. Crouch is fine to keep for the loophole but that means I would have to start either Viney or Toumpas to avoid a donut and of course hope that they play.

So what do people think, option 1 or option 2?

Right. After people here have talked me out of Birchell I'm settled on this weeks trades..

Moloney for Mayes (say what you will about him playing Melb, he's 79 last week will kill him and I'd be astounded if he's over 500k at years end.

Stevenson for Hartlett (after 4 weeks I'll back his injuries, man has potential to be a gun. Backline is pretty much locked for the year now, as is forward line (bar injuries), so only the Midfield to sort out once rookies rise in value.

But like Juddy, I like to trade, so prob will dream up something.

I would downgrade ziebell to mayes and upgrade dwyer to franklin if you can.

Ok guys i missed out on trading last week and fortunately missed out on grabbing crouch but it also means i still have Mitchell & Varcoe in my squad.

I have made the decision i am going to bring in 2 rookies into my squad. Mayes is the obvious one and he will be coming in for Varcoe in to my forward line.

The midfield rookie gets alot trickier.

5 options i have and i would love to know which people think would be the right way to go.

What are peoples thoughts and who should i jump on ?

I think G.H-S's score last week was a one off, don't think Rampe will be getting regular games unless he plays particularly well this week, and also unsure about Evans' job security. Out of the 5 of them, I think Kerridge would be the better option particularly since he has a DPP, but has only proved himself in one game so far.

So I think I need to bolster my defence (fairly happy with the other lines). Just not sure which way to go about it.

Option A Varcoe > Mayes and Broughton > Birchall

B Varcoe > Paparone/Kerridge and Vlastuin > Gibbs/Hartlett

C Varcoe > Paparone/Keridge and Stevenson > Birchall

I suppose the question is, is Mayes a must have? (i.e. is his JS good and will he make us a heap of cash). If I go that way then I've only got enough cash for option A.

Not sure if Broughton will turn it around, so maybe it's time to jump off him, if Birchall can keep up this scoring?

I'd say Kommer is one week from coming back... and his last game was good so keep him. I'd trade Viney or Crouch first. I have all three players, i'm trading Viney, as he is carriyng a 9, while the other two are carrying higher scores when they return. but that is just what i think

On the other hand, wouldn't Crouch/Viney have a higher ceiling? I'm happy enough to ride out Viney's 9, but a hamstring seems likely to drag Crouch down for more than just the 2-3 he's out. AAAAARRRGGGHHH!

Can I get people's thoughts on dangerfield? Carazzo did a job on selwood the other week and will I'm guessing be assigned the tag of danger this week.

I'm looking at rich for danger is it worth the trade this week?

Pretty sure danger is carrying a brused knee, play mostly forward last week, some on the crows board suspect they manage him through this week and rest him against gws. I'd hold off for a week or two.
