Nothing wrong with playing three rookies in the backline at this stage. You're not saying who you're trading out for Docherty ... Hanley?

Yeh, Hanley > Docherty & Viney > Cloke = 400k in the bank to go Port rook > H Shaw & Neade > Daisy next week.

I'm really worried about having too many Lions players. I already have Hanley, Rockliff, Luey + I plan to bring in Mayes and Docherty.. Even though the last two will be bench players I think I might have too many?

Way too early to be offloading Hanley, AND bringing in Docherty, for the sake of Shaw and Thomas next week.

Bad move I say.

Early scores say otherwise, but I reckon Hanley and H Shaw will both average around the same by years end. 100-105. The 100k difference in price (after this week) is as good as making a rookie downgrade IMHO.

All week I've been set on Viney > Cloke & Blicavs > Gawn which would leave me only 20k in the bank, then downgrade one of the Port rooks to Docherty next week, so I can do maybe* 1 upgrade elsewhere with around 150k in the bank.

...BUT after a bit of thought, especially with Hanley on my bench this week and resigned to playing 3 out of Heath, Pittard, Stevenson & Terlich no matter what, I thought why not do a pre-emptive downgrade to set my self up for next week with 400k? Basically use Hanley's absence this week to make 2 upgrades NEXT week by bringing in Docherty in a week early and bringing in 2 fallen premos next week by upgrading one of Pittard/Heath/Stevenson > H Shaw (who is set to plummet this week) and Neade/Dwyer/Rowe > Daisy (after he plummets this week) does that make any sense?
Some of the cows you mention, most would have mooing to do.
Docherty could get an injury this week or just be crap & get dropped.
Shaw & Daisy are still probably set to fall after this week again.

No for me but i'm sitting 63K.

I hear what you're sayin' ....very risky, but I do have a high ranking ATM so can afford to take a risk or 2. Hopefully they come off as well as the other trades I've made so far.

If you think Hanley and H Shaw will average the same by years end you're sideways trading a premium for a premium AND foregoing any cash your upgraded Port rookie will make from Round 6 on.

Not a good move IMO

LOL I realise that. That's why I mentioned my ranking.

It's worth exactly what you paid for it!:p

What's the attraction of bringing in Daisy so soon anyway? He's projected to drop a further $30k the following week. At least let him post a 100 or something first.

Way too many risks in your scenario Gingy. Risk-taking is good but the risks must have some basis in probability and percentages. Introduce multiple layers of risk and everything can unravel very quickly.

Where is a site with easy to read BE?

Not sure if to upgrade to Gaz this week from a Rookie (have a mountain of cash) or suck it up and get birchill like I should've gotten at the start of the year

Really want to bring in beau waters with the eagles run to come.
Is he likely to play does anyone know?...

Well I think that's one of the main questions with him.
If it wasn't for his durability he'd be in a lot more teams.

I haven't traded Heater & Daisy in just yet. All I'm saying is if I downgrade Hanley (my B10 this week) I will have 400k to make 2 upgrades next week. Be it Daisy & Heater or some other 2...

both great options

Wait. Thomas sub last week and got a low score. His price will drop.

Should be named this week...
I feel like I've seen you somewhere before.

Ahhh that's it, you were on the worlds most wanted list for performing in the blue man group.:p

Me thinks (and it hurts me to say this) - there are multiple better options than heater. (Birch, Gibbs, Godd, Scotland, Heppell, Waters, Dixon, Burgoyne)
I love heater but teams are clamping the crap outta him

No worries, all I'm saying is:

1. Hold fire on trading out Hanley just yet. Points to be made, he may yet end up a top 6 back.
2. Hold fire on trading in Docherty a week early unless you have two definite trades in mind next week and you need to move on Docherty before acceptances to permit you the two trades you need. From what you have said about Thomas/Shaw "or some other two" it sounds like you don't have two definite trades for next week which are forcing you to move early on Docherty.

Not that I have anything against pulling the trigger early on a rookie per se, I did it myself with Treloar to great effect.

Going to trade out Jenkins to Mayes, and looking to trade out Luke Brown in defence (his break even is almost his avg this week). Have enough to trade to Hibberd or Dixon, i am leaning towards Dixon.

The other option is to trade out one of my 3 port rookies to Hartlett, but they all have a lot of mooing still to do, can offload one next week to Docherty instead.

thoughts?

Especially with Harry O playing on the wing.
Only one "quarter back" to shut down now.
