Playing the long game, but seriously considering Papley for Byrne-Jones.

There's two reasons I haven't pulled the trigger.
1) I've been burnt trading early on rookies before. Once the 24 is out of his system, the Smear could be worth a lot more than he currently is.
2) I know nothing about Byrne-Jones and his job security.

Trying to decide whether or not it is worth pulling the trigger for the cash injection, or whether I'd be better holding and missing out on Byrne-Jones. 2 hours left to pull the trigger, I suppose...

Help. :p

Think I'll pull the trigger, I don't think Papley will make too much more cash, but aslong as DBJ averages 70 from here on out, he'll go up a couple hundred thousand. So should be worth it!

DBJ's JS still worries me. Has Impey breathing down his neck for that spot in the back 6. Look at Polec, was BOG (SC wise) a couple of weeks ago, dropped this week. I'm tempted to go with the Carlton Byrne instead, even though he probably won't score as high or make as much $ this week, his JS should be more solid by comparison. Over the long term, I'm thinking he might be a better cash cow and or bench coverage than DBJ.

Not getting both?

JPK not being a late out has sealed SGray's fate ... he's out.

Have traded SGray<Zaharakis
Gray isn't getting the game time or playing the role that saw him score so well late last season. Had to go before he lost more value.
There were always going to be a couple of Essendon players who stepped up to be the team's high scorers after the mass suspensions, and Goddard was never going to be one of them due to his habit of sulking in losing teams. It's pretty clear now that those players are Zaharakis and ZMerrett. Happy to now have them both in my team.

With jj injured he is a priority to trade out unless you have coverage for him this week and plan on trading him out next week.
I have cover this week. Getting Fyfe would complete my midfield and figured he may score well against Carlton at home. Lot of rookies on field down back though. Thanks!

Stats say Byrne-Jones over Byrne. Job security is probably in Byrne's favour, so makes it a close call. Asked the girlfriend, she likes the name Byrne better than Byrne-Jones. Flipped a coin, Byrne won the toss. Can't argue with fate, welcome aboard Byrne.
