For the complaints about Lyons, he's leading our centre clearances with five and our next best is three guys with one.

Ditto on Cam Rayner, starting to look good out there.

Some on here seem to think unless we are thrashing our opponent every week there's something drastically wrong:rolleyes:, most AFL games are bloody hard to win, the Suns are really up for it.

Hard not to be impressed by him today.

Just needs to clean up his kicking a little.
Has had the 12 possessions at the half. That's been his full game total quite a bit.over the years. Seeing him pop up in the back pocket a few times has been a suprise. Very involved today.

With the conditions we clearly don't want to over use the ball. But we gotta still maintain possession and hit up some small kicks. Most of it is just a fumble, or over running, or a handball missing.

We just gotta chill a bit and do the basics good. Hit that short pass, pick up the ball. Loving our hunt on the ball carrier, much better today, lots of touches and smoothers and plenty of heat on the ball.

Thank the footy Gods we're vsing the Suns without King. Their shitty goal kicking, but even more so their lack of finishing off i50 entries would be partially solved with King there and we would be behind.

Haven't been too bothered with the umpiring, which means we're getting the good end of it I think.

Andrews looking good tonight. McCluggage and Berry going super well.

Linc looking lively, a bit overzealous early on but got some good pressure for us

Midfield getting beaten again. Losing clearances, contested ball and the tackle count. Gotta clean up our act in there and the rest will fall in place.

Kind of highlights our issues a bit tough. Really need Clugga, Bez, Bailey and Rayner to improve in that area.
And tonight it's been more about our stoppage losses around the ground as we've actually leading in centre clearances.

Yep makes sense in these conditions and the potency of our forward line to go quickly. I think what's stopping us from running away with this game is our poor stoppage work. Not getting enough of the ball to really break this game open. Pressure is good when they have it. Would be better if they didn't though ;)

The best part is it's naturally going to get better as we build cohesion. We've already seen that with Rayners strong game and Hughs continued improvement around the ball. Upward trajectory!

Feels like he's had more midfield time today, spent the last few weeks mainly as a forward after the first couple weeks in the middle. Hopefully this is a kickstart to his season now.
