VFL is in Sydney the following day

It means all emergencies will be play

Not sure about Jones and Campbell though?

It will also depend if they are infected, or are just close contacts.

If one actually has Covid, you still isolote. If it is just a partner, or child then you can play on if negative.

If symptomatic you would imagine the club would be cautious though.

Last week it was going to be Witts who was going to destroy the Saints, now it's Greene's turn..keep em coming
Greene will be lucky to see out the first quarter without murdering an umpire ... he's not going to have time to play any footy.

(More seriously, I think we probably use a few different players on him to keep him guessing/keep him unsettled ... maybe a bit of Long to go hard at him, and try and get him to do something really stupid, Paton, maybe some Webster ... possibly even get Hayes to seek him out for a few solid hits)

Hopefully he's rusty enough that he gives up some frees early, and we can take advantage.

Honestly, we should be taking full advantage of the rule changes. King should accentuate any contact and push the defenders out under the ball. Both deemed legal in the last few weeks. It should make the other side rage whinge and give us a heap of 50 MPs.

This week the umpires are drunk on their new central position in the game and are likely to be hot on the whistle, Greene is a flopper and will be trying to use the new rules so we have to jump in hard.

Or pulls something out and belts Ben Long when he snaps after about 10 minutes of niggle ... then Long gets six weeks for disrespecting Toby ;)
Or as the 12th Man put it...

"Oh, lookout! That's vicious ...from Caven a head butt. He's come running in and head butted Lockett right on the point of the elbow."

I swear, once you remove common sense from the decision you invite the ridiculous to occur.

Someone's def. gonna gesture at a teammate for not kicking it "to the fat side", an ump's going to see it and have a premonition of appearing on Gerard's 360 reel, and pay it in kneejerk fashion. 50.

Players are naturally going to try to tell the ump that the gesture was at a player, raising their hands. 100.

Finally someone's gonna spit their mouthguard out, rip their boots off, toss them into the crowd and say F this. 150.

Meanwhile 360 will be frantically trying to counterbalance Robbo losing his shit over this by getting Bont and Petracca back to express their non-opinions.
Gerard watches on with pursed lips.

Then more gambling promotion for the kiddies at home.

Oh shoot, forgot to put my multitude of multi's on...

Will be interesting to see if they drop Flynn for Preust as Flynn had the most centre clearances for GWS 5 & that was the highest for both sides.
Also wondering the same. They weren't too pleased that Preuss got himself suspended again. Wonder if they make him earn his spot back. But then again, they're desperate for a win and want their best 22...

Watch King get rubbed out for a week if he tries anything REMOTELY like the crap Hawkins got away with over the past fortnight.

With Greene, if we're going to give away a free, he has to be feeling it ... no tiggy-touchwood - make him earn the kick.

As for the umpires ... what money we get Razor AND Leigh Fisher on the crew just to make it really interesting? :)

Making the trek up in the chariot from Melbourne on Friday. First time at Manuka.

Any good pubs near by?

Plenty of bars and restaurants over the street in Manuka. Or down the road 5 minutes in Barton. I like Edgar's in Ainslie because it's small and doesn't have doof doof music so loud that you can't have a conversation. I'm a 70 year old cab driver in a mid 30 year olds body though.

King absolutely should, atleast in the Geelong game, will be interesting to see Geelong fans sing another tune so quickly
