How did long butler and jeka look out there?

Jeka and Long đź‘Ś

Downie moving really well and has a beautiful kick on him. Hope this kid can stay fit and make it .

Didn’t notice Butler to be honest.

Had a quick chat with Connor Mac who is a ripper lad.

An Irish lad was running laps well after everyone was done and he said he was 3 weeks away from playing .

Ash Browne reckons the coaches are itching to get Ned Long into the side.

I can't see it this week, perhaps vs Melbourne off the 5 day break
I’d love to see him get a debut against Melbourne. Bring him in for at least 2 weeks to give C Mac a spell against Melbourne and then Ward a spell the following week

I'd bring in Day, Wingard, Lynch and Jeka/Callow.

Out goes Shiels and Phillips alongside Reeves and Lewis.

Next week Lewis comes back in i suspect (just tight hammy), Reeves 3-4 weeks?

Could see some resting off the short break Jaeger was mentioning others getting a go at captaincy so i could see him getting a rest possibly against the Dees? Depends how they pull up.

Bramble VFL this week and in next week!

This is a good point - Gunston is the type of player who has done well there. From memory other than Bud's 14 we haven't had any of our key forwards kick a bag. With the wind it's all about making a contest and getting the ball to ground.
Actually used to happen all the time when we had an elite forward line, Koschitzke kicked 5 there last year, Gunners kicked 6 there a few years ago, Rough regularly kicked bags there in his prime (8, 7, 6 and lots of 5s and 4s). Franklin must have kicked damn near 30 in 2008 alone.

I'm not a fan of overthinking ground dimensions/conditions and letting it influence the forward line.

has to be callow imo so that he will swap with an underdone match fit lynch whilst resting forward while lewis is out

In: Lynch, Day, Wingard, Worpel (full game)
Out: Reeves, Shiels, Phillips

B. Hardwick Frost DGB
HB. Scrimshaw Sicily Jiath
C. Ward Mitchell Morrison
HF. Wingard Moore Macdonald
F. Gunston Kosi Breust

Foll: Lynch Newcombe Worpel
IC: Impey Day O'Meara Nash
Sub: Shiels

Bramble will have at least 1 run at Box Hill.
Out: Lewis(inj) Reeves(inj) Philips/Shiels(omit)
In: Lynch, Day, Wingard

Most likely scenario.
What an absolutely amazing win last Monday - especially for such a developing side! Love it, they are meeting/exceeding our expectations so far this year. Can’t wait to see Long, Butler, Serong in the side at some stages this year.

I haven't watched Sydney at all this year so I have no idea if we'll win or lose. Pretty relaxed either way.

That midfield needs some work still.
With Wingard in the side and probably parked in the forward line, we might see more of Breust through the middle. Hopefully Wingaz is good for a couple of goals and gives us a more dynamic set of smalls (given that Mitch Lewis is out).

Interested to see what Lynch looks like over a full game, if he looks good the future Ruck combo is exciting.

Not too worried about the result, have already had some better moments that I was expecting this season hah.

So can we just rock up and scan our membership cards or do you need to have pre-booked a ticket?

I'm hoping it's the former, as I haven't bought a ticket yet, there are no tickets available on the Ticketmaster website, and I've already paid for flights and accommodation.

Normal membership cards don't scan anymore...the QR code on the back of the card links to an app, for a digital ticket on your phone.

I think the reserved seat cards still scan...

Make sure you have the right one.

They do for home games. Not sure on replacement or additional away games though as haven't tried that yet.

I just tinkered around with this on the app and it looks like my GA ticket will be available in 24 hours.

What a convoluted process. Appreciate the clarification though - I would never have worked that out for myself.

you guys must be stoked at how well the Hawks are travelling. Really have no idea how this one goes. One thing for sure, we’re not very good in windy conditions and I’m not sure we have an answer for the dead-eye dicks of Breust and Gunstone who always play well against us. At least Clarko won’t be there to hand out his annual coaching lesson to Horse. Think it will come down to intensity / who’s pulled up flat etc. Let’s hope the umps don’t spoil what I think is the match of the round.

I have stolen your Duke Newcombe gif and have distributed to Hawk friends. It’s a ripper.
