Would mean only Kosi + Gunston as our talls. Think we’d benefit structurally from bringing in Callow or Jeka.

You need to be careful in Tassie not to have too many talls especially if it’s windy as you run out of legs. Those Mccartin lads are doing really well at the moment dropping off and intercepting. If Gunners and Kosi can bring the ball to ground, Moore Wingard and Punky will cause some damage .

What if Lynch doesn’t play? Could Koschitzke, Jeka and Callow all play together?

B: Hardwick, Frost, Jiath

HB: Scrimshaw, Grainger-Barras, Sicily

C: Morrison, Mitchell, Ward

HF: Wingard, Jeka, Gunston

F: Breust, Callow, Moore

R: Koschitzke, O’Meara, Newcombe

INT: Impey, Shiels, MacDonald, Nash, Worpel (Sub)

Without a ruckman, those 3 need to play,

Lynch is playing….. as long as he keeps away from Bees this week.

tbf Lynch will come back in and it will essentially be the same setup we have played every week with 1 ruck (Reeves) and two tall forwards (Gunston, Lewis)

This isn’t exactly true.

Round 1 we had Lynch + Reeves so one resting ruck to play forward. But Lynch got injured in the first quarter.

Round 2 we had McEvoy, Reeves, Gunston & Lewis and was structurally the best we looked IMO. Then McEvoy fractured his neck at training.

Round 3 and 4 we went with one ruck + two talls.

Against Geelong we brought in Kosi to play forward/ruck but the injury to Reeves meant we went back to two talls.

So we have been trying to play with an additional tall forward option.

Oh you're absolutely right my bad, I was thinking McEvoy played round 1 & went down after that.

Lewis is out with a hammy concern 😟

Very happy this is in Tassie. Lewis out puts the scales firmly in the Swanny’s favour if they weren’t there already. Being at our home away from home still gives us a slight sniff…

There has to be doubt that lynch has the fitness to shoulder the load, so he’ll need a fair bit of help. That could be kosi. We need one of callow or jeka to replace Lewis. Jeka looks to have the talent but callow the competitive streak and ability to mark it. Toss of a coin. Then hopefully day and wingard in. I’d like to keep one of flipper or shiels as they did add to desperation around the contest. Maybe Phillips. Oh no, can’t fit them all in!!!
