I guess my interpretation is vastly different but sideways is sideways premium or not.

I doubt anyones done a rookie down to another cheap rookie and upgraded a rookie to a premium yet

Which is the true upgrade/downgrade
My point was when people say avoid sideways trades they’re talking about not trading a premo to other premo.

Not touching that boy. Been burnt two years in a row by him. Picking him ahead of petrucelli biggest **** up of the year.
Yeah I’ve been burnt by him twice too. And the Eagles match committee have a bad habit of selecting him for tough away games which we predictably lose and Brander is predictably made the scape goat.

As many educated Fantasy players have said (including dual winner Selby) every trade you make in the first four rounds is sideways and there is no shame in sideways-trading a premium at that time. You're goal in the first four rounds is to fix your pre-lockout mistakes. If you picked a Dev Smith or a Dunkley or Bryce Gibbs for example.. you've got the time to trade them (as long as all your rookies are playing) and those moves are smart.

As long as your rookies are replaying, theres not much point in shuffling them around weeks one and two as one bad scorecould be turned around very quickly and vice versa, whereas premiums are there to be the backbone of your side until the bye. They will lose cash and lose you points against your opposition week in week out if they are wrong whereas rookies won't. I feel justified trading Dunkley and Heeney weeks 1 and 2. Although I wish i had of traded Goldy instead of Heeney looking back. Oh well.

Selby also preaches holding premos at all costs unless they’re injured for 2+ weeks which I completely agree with. Unless you’ve nailed all ~15 rooks to start with which I’ve never seen anyone do before, long term it’s far better using early trades getting in good rooks you’ve missed as opposed to shuffling premos around. Dunkley > Boak was one of the rare exceptions which looks to be paying off so far.

Everyone plays the game differently I suppose, I’ve tried both ways in the past and this is what I prefer.

Mate I'm so bloody pumped! Something about the C on Rocky just gets me way more excited than anybody else.

Knowing he can go 190+ it is I think.

Tempted to go away from Grundy VC, only because of the slight fear that my two options (Cameron, Fort) are emergencies and could (but unlikely) be late inclusions

EDIT: Looks like you can "safely" select Cameron as C

The Sydney Swans will welcome back Robbie Fox, Darcy Cameron and Justin McInerney for their NEAFL clash with GWS at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday afternoon.

Of the EMGs selected by Sydney, B.Ronke isn't named in the NEAFL side, so he's likely the backup EMG

Geelong have the VFL bye, so anyone could come in for them

Scrimshaw vs Duursma. You'd think it wouldn't matter because they'll score similiarly but in my current form there'll be a 50 point difference there somehow.
It'd bloody hard to pick, so my thinking is that carltoon starting with 4 talls means Scrim is assigned a lock down role on one of them.....so I'm fielding Duursma, probably wrong but WTF knows

Almost don't want to because Duursma stinking it up will take a bit of the fun out of Rocky but that logic makes sense.

Sheed doesn't lay tackles even when on the inside. Only way he scores is through disposals, marks and an occasional goal. Will probably still only lay his 1 tackle/game.

I know :(

Interestingly, I just had a look and in 2017 he had three consecutive games of 6 tackles! Massive!

FFS been thinking about Boak vs Lloyd ALL DAY. Before the round started, I was all on Lloyd but day by day I have swung towards Boak. I save around 50k with Boak and I think he goes higher this week. I see Laird is 130k cheaper than Lloyd....just ridiculous. I'm going to see if Laird does well without Milera and hopefully I can do without Lloyd and go Laird instead. I'm really hoping Lloyd goes under 100 this week (only had 1 ton against GWS in his career), then he will begin his price drops

But how do you know you've nailed all rookies until they've had a couple of weeks to show what they can do. For example, my rookies round 1 were Collins, Clark, Duurs, Hore, Scrim, Butters, Constable, Walsh, Scott, Atkins, Setters, Drew, Balta and Parker.

Oout of those lot only Balta and Collins did badly, scoring 29 and 21 respectively. I traded Balta week 1 but kept Collins, and that's proven to be the right move because he's gone on to averge 50 and been a soli little earner on the pine, with still cash to go.

I had one free trade and went Dunkley to Rocky by Grabbing Miers and upgrading Atkins.

Perfectly reasonable trade and if i hadn't of done it I would have Dunkley who averages 76 as opposed to Rocky averaging 110 (with a concussion effected score).

I'd like Whitfield and Lloyd to lockdown tag each other... it's a dumpster fire not having either of them.
