I think everything will click this weekend. Like everything. We will win by 60+.

And they’ll extend Dew’s contract
The season is still young and there is time for this team to get on a run, but it needs to start this week. I don't want to see a competitive battle, I need to see us completely outclass North for 4 quarters.

So they were saying on Access All Areas that Rowell, Anderson and Touk have too many mins in the midfield and they're exhausted by the end of the game. Then they said it's a coaching issue because they weren't being managed. I'm guessing it probably is true.

I know the Suns started this way last year but I'm just gutted that we can't make it work again. Because even if we do have a good few games... those games could have cost us finals.

I would be confident with Witts. Without Witts who knows. Goldstein could turn 10 years younger for his 300 games. Surprise me. I will be there :)

Not loving our bench. Looks like the same tried and tired players.

Jeffery dropped last round, hasn’t played in VFL and the fact he still might get a run…

Both Rosas and Sexton, and I just feel Sexton is not a versatile enough sub. Rosas might be the better sub option.

Three talls, including a back-up ruck—four if we count Jeffrey.

Fiorini the only midfielder there.

It probably is a solid team on paper, but several players well out of form.

Who would be your bench + sub?

I’m not sure.

I’d definitely play Humphrey on ball and forward.

Personally I’d give Sexton a starting role as I don’t like him as a sub.

After that, the other two are a dice roll.

If Witts is still sore or injured, we have to play Casboult to support him (or support Moyle) against Goldy. Maybe we play him anyway.

Andrew is our only extra defender, but they are not tall so I’m not sold on forcing him to play.

Fiorini as the spare mid.

So maybe Casboult, Sexton, Humphrey, Fiorini. I’d sub Rosas to add speed when he comes on (giving Sexton a chance to start). Rosas can play forward, mid and wing I guess.

So I’ve calmed down after the weekends capitulation.
However… a win against north No matter how big, merely papers over cracks.
A loss against north renders the coaches position untenable
I’m not so sure, the excuses keep getting rolled out, no doubt it’s getting harder but I’m not sure the board is any more competent than the coach, they have had their heads in the sand for a long time and Sacking Dew after backing him with such a poor record reflects poorly on them and as we know people in power rarely admit failure

If Dew is in as precarious of a position as some think, then Witts plays as long as he passes the required fitness tests. Stuey knows the heat is really on at the moment and he desperately needs a win to relieve the current pressure on his position so I'm fully expecting Witta to play, if for no other reason than that. Maybe Witts was going to play anyway but I think the fact that Dew is potentially one loss away from the sack essentially guarantees it.

We're a significantly better team with Witts playing so I'm expecting Witta to play and I'm expecting us to win.

The kid definitely has massive potential, but his recent games will have opened a few clubs eyes that he is still a long way from being ready to be #1 ruckman.

Hopefully works out in our favour to convince him to stick around 12-18months for regular senior game time.
Obviously needs to get stronger.
That leap is really impressive for a guy his size.

When he wins the hit out 37% goes to advantage which is elite.

Just needs to win more. Got faith he’ll be a good tap ruckman.

It’s more his link up work around the ground, and having the tank to push back to help the defence (and up fwd). Very few possessions in his initial games compared to seasoned rucks. Kids got talent though but still a fair way off cracking #1 ruck.
