If we got a fair run by the umpires, we win.

So you are wrong!

If we nailed the simple shots in the first quarter we would've won

If we didn't try and take so many head shots at the Bulldogs players (a few were ducks, but a few were blatantly there) we would've won

If Tex took a few clutch marks we would've won

If we didn't leak 100+ points again we would've won

So you are wrong, well half-wrong.

Yep it's one of the things,
Tex takes his marks - we win
Umpires better - we win
Smith kick better - we win
Betts turn up for the first 3/4 - we win

Plenty of things cost us.
Let's fix them all
The upside on this performance is huge

I'm not concerned - play like shit now away from home and learn from it

This.. my god this.
Least Lyons would have put some scoreboard pressure on. Crouch needs 2 months solid in the SANFL before even coming into contention for match committee

Runs like he's got a large piece of blue metal (gravel) in his shoe.

But look at good teams. They get praise for being able to get the 4 points even when they don't play well. That's seen as a positive.

That's what we're denied.

If the senior players performed it wouldnt be an issue. if you allow a side to be first to the ball at nearly every stage of a game you are going to get smashed by the umps.

That's the thing even if they performed, it would have still been an issue. How can you say it wouldn't be, shit umpiring is shit umpiring.
But yes we have to be better.

We had to win more ball in midfield and have more good players on the day role through there

It was only our defence and forward line that kept us in it all night

We were slaughtered in midfield

A massive factor. But plenty of passengers to
Credit to the bulldogs, they played well, and we absolutely played like shit.

There are 3 maybe 4 momentum killing free kicks that were incorrect or were missed that the bulldogs capitalised on.

Im not even that fussed about the uneven free kick numbers, its those momentum killers that influenced the game and we will never know who would have won if the umpires didnt **** up in a massive way.

Exactly. We don't know how to win when playing crap (unless we're playing a crap side like Richmond or Fremantle). We need to learn to win the tight games against the elite teams, even if we've had an off night.

I was with you brother ... Would have given him at least 2 more at SANFL level
2nd bad selection decision after nonselection of hartigan against the Roos.

Btw, Talia should gave been on stringer tonight too.

How about Tex's inability to take a mark for the first 3.5 quarters?

How about our defence leaking 100+ points for the 5th time this season?

How about some easy shots missed?

How about a pile of missed tackles and weak efforts?

How about some shocking turnovers?

The umpiring was bad, but we made enough mistakes to offset their effort.

To beat our opponent, we should need to perform at 101%, to their 100% - we shouldn't need to be 10% better to compensate for shit umpiring.
