I felt we had to win a game like this to give us hope for the next few weeks, but I spose at least there was 3 quarters of good footy there.

Margin really flatters the Eagles. We absolutely dominated the possession - just didn't take advantage.

not sure why Voss subbed out Lester he was using the ball superbly, someone like Karnezis would have given us a boost instead of Polkinhorne who continually butchered the ball all day.

We'll disagree there then. It's our guys kicking to the extra man and not pressuring enough allowing them to link up which is the problem.

Yeah, despite how disappointed I am with the result, the effort from the boys was pretty good. Showing some heart and lacking skill is much better than what we've served up at times this year.

Great endeavor by our boys. Unfortunately, the onus seems to be on our leaders this week. Browny kicked two important goals but was well beaten by McKenzie and Merrett and Adcock were extremely undisciplined and just plain stupid at times. Gutted, need to break something.

I can't tell, did you want polkinghorne to be subbed for black? I only ask cause you've only mentioned it about ten times.

I was pretty pleased with that effort.

Yeah a bit of inexperience and stupid mistakes costs us. But to be honest, if we had neutral umpiring we could have well won that game.

So many crucial attrocious decisions went against us starting with the terrible double goal. The Le Cras bullshit mark in the last quarter that came squarely off both of Merrett's hands was the killer blow.

All day we seemed to get screwed by the umps at crucial moments. Mayes not getting holding the ball / deliberate, yet them playing deliberated for virtually nothing against Rocky in the last. The 50m penalty for throwing the ball back to the ump while Kennedy was on the ground. The fact that Brown and Lisle were countless times tackled and had a hand or two hands on their shoulders well before a marking contest.

It was just crap.

West Coast had the better team, but we out played them for most of the day except for the last 10m or so.
