Appreciate that we shouldn't gloat on the Norf board but allow me the indulgence of gloating on ours.

Austin was excellent. His spoiling is uncanny.

Reckon Carlton will end up regretting letting him go and keeping Bower.

For all the knockers of Daniel Cross i hope you are eating your words tonight. What you saw today was exactly what our young players need to aspire to if we are to be a serious contender in the future. He has eyes only for the ball and he puts his body on the line all the time, to play along side Daniel would be likened to being in the trenches and crossy would be the first one over the top when the command was given. Well done Daniel.

Only seen him play twice but he looks the have all the attributes.

From the sounds of it a lot of Carlton people did not ant to lose him- but I guess thats what happens with salary cap (you have to choose who you can't afford).

Know you were after Lake last year- so glad we kept him.

Austin was OK. Made some nice spoils. Has a bit to work on with his one on one defending though. He's doing alright at the moment all things considered with our outs.

You guys will have watched more of him than I have. I hope what I saw today was an aberration. The mark Edwards took on Austin at the tip of the goal square virtually uncontested was ugly. Any more of that won't do his reputation much good.

That guy (SweetLeftFoot/DawOf Perception) is the most nauseating, despicable **** on this site. Hopefully he is crying a myriad of tears tonight.

One win against us last year and a slide down the latter from us and all their chip on shoulder, whining, victim complex fans all think they're the best up and coming side about.**

We absolutely smashed every single one of their "hard nut, best young list in the league" midfielders today.

Ziebull? Bastinac? Ooooohh, I'm shaking in my boots Norf!

At one stage ours was 5.4 then 54 points and theirs at one stage 5.4
We won the contested possessions by 54.

I don't know if it warrants it, but to me this was a watershed game.

This is why I love the Bulldogs.

One on one. Consistently. Never Say Die. Fight Fight Fight.

Yes I've had a couple, but I really credit that win.

If they give this every week I would not criticize at all.

i listened on the radio and it was great to not hear Squibb Boomer Harvey's name mentioned too much. Sounds like Picken bent him over , pulled his dacks down and gave it to him up the date ! Shat on him ! Made my day

I think Macca has got Crossy playing a more defined role, using his strengths and attributes better and thats why he has rejuvenated his game. Backing back into packs, taking big courageous marks, sort of roaming around and reading the play in defence instead of having the pressure of going one on one all the time in the midfield... Great stuff

I think the forward line will come together. It takes time. I am really happy with the progress Macca has got out of the boys this year so far....

the youth in the team is looking fantastic actually - give it a year or 2 and we will be top 4 contenders before we know it...

Ohhhhh yes

Today's umpiring was an absolute disgrace. Matthew Nicholls is hands down the worst umpire in the league. Absolutely incompetent.

In addition to the Goldstein non call, there were at least 2-3 clear cut dropping the ball decisions to us they didn't pay, and when they finally do pay holding the ball it's against Lake in our back half with about 5 blokes jumping on him, gifting them another charity goal.

Goldstein one was a very bad non call. They really stunk it up re: incorrect disposal today. Otherwise it wasn't an atrocious umpiring display. If anything they did well without a clear fan base telling them what to do a la Pies.

That tackle by Addison was perfect too. Could have got him square in the back, but he rolled him beautifully. Horrible call by the umpire.

I totally agree. The inconsistency of the holding the ball frees today were terrible. The most inconsistent I have seen for some time. I think to be fair, the one with Addison, he didn't tackle him, he actually bumped him, I heard from a guy at the game who was listening to the call on radio. I still think it looked gone from my spot. The one against Lake was terrible, a guy for North should've been pinged for kicking in danger, where he nearly kicked Lake's head off.

There were a lot where our guys caught them red hot, the roos player incorrectly disposed of the ball, and play on. It really gave me the shits. I know North supporters thought they were getting the rough end, but overall, with the missed HTB calls that we didn't get, we copped the raw prawn!

Ordinarily i would agree, however a few of their **** fans on BF have had no problems telling us we're going to fold so I'm happy to return the favour.
