Depends if picked I might leave Akennedy for another week playing suns this week should score better got burnt bad on trading out devsmith:(.Things could change again by friday just nature of the season.

but pretty set on goodes to side$pinkter.
Think you're not the only one. Haha... Once my side is somewhat settled, I'm not going to be driven by rookies breakeven scores anymore.

i'd suggest you consider sewell as a fwd as well.

also consider kreuzer to Hmac next week as your rucks are weak...

to answer your questions; 1 as long as you are getting premiums into your side it doesn't matter if you are going through the trades quicker than some others

i have been trying to work the byes with my fwd line.

congrats on being 28th overall and best of luck.

disclaimer - i am currently ranked 20 odd thousand. i would not listen to me if i was you.

Careful with the bold bit that will give you only 2 playing rucks with the same week bye:eek:

I think those will be 2 popular trades this week. Am considering doing the same depending on selections. Adding another gws player to my team is a bit of a worry ,already have quite a few. But the money made will turn shiel, smith and greene into premiums over the coming weeks thinning the gws numbers down before round 11.

i guess it depends. i could trade out milera instead of goodes and sit him on the bench for the week, because i think 6 weeks seems quite excessive but that will come down to whether or not treloar gets a run and/or i trust smedts to put in a half decent shift and avoid the vest.

A Kennedy did a great job shutting down Betts, just didn't get much of the ball. He might get a similar role on Bennell this week? With a BE of 60 it's just below his avg. I did keep Devon based on a post made by someone over on the TooSerious forum saying something along the lines of; "Smith is a tackling machine, he will be let loose against the Blues", and he goes out and tons it. But it could be the end of Kennedy's scoring if he is now placed in a shut down role from here on in. I think it's wise to bring in the mature age cows now as some of the youngen's could start slowing down very soon.

kennedy also got 2 40s in a row. If he gets named in the fwd then I will reverse him but for all we know he might not even make it on to the field.

Anyone else thinking of Goodes > StevieJ?? Pull in some extra cash and surely his game on the weekend is a sign he's getting back to his best.

Or would a better option be Boomer?

Thoughts?

People are were also worried because he was the sub the week before. GWS won't make the same kid sub two matches in a row. This is why i kept him and played him on the field.

100% getting pendles in and getting rid of goodes but the rest is a mystery

MIDS - ablett, swan, gibbs, s.selwood, j.selwood, mcdonald(magner, c.smith)

FOR - franklin, goodes, sidebottom, porps, stanley, d.smith, kennedy(hall, treloar)

got 300K in the kitty

thinking

magner>pendles

goodes>zaha

thoughts?

Kennedy's played in the back line all year, regardless of where he's been named so I can't see that changing. The main difference the last two weeks where he's scored 40, he's done lock-down roles on Betts and... Porplyzia? Not sure against Adelaide. The previous weeks where he scored well, he was still a defender but they were looking to rebound through him rather than have him play on the opponent's best small forward.

Goodes >>> Pavlich for me this week only.

Not much point in downgrading Goodes who is a premium for a rookie as the Pav trade gave me 50k cash and i don't need the cash to bring Ablett back in as he is on the pine. ;)

Cant justify trading a premium for a rookie who is inconsistent and i need decent scores from my premiums. ( Hopefully Pav returns this though! )

Forwards are all over the place this year regarding scoring consistency and everyone has a question mark on them which makes it harder.

Magner and J Mac are still increasing in $$$ with low BE's so will hold off a bit with these 2 before cashing them in.

O.k second guessing myself now. Goodes out for sure but looking at Rioli now after seeing all options! I can afford any forward i want with a current set up of.....

Franklin , Tippett , Waite , Dahlhaus , Porps , Goodes , Cameron , D Smith , Pfeiffer.

What are others thoughts?? Forwards are so hot and cold this year which is so frustrating.

Rioli plays the Dees and i think he will light them up but he scares me regarding injury. Whoever i bring in is in the team all year barring injury. Pavlich is giving me cold feet now with the R Lyon game plan.

Decisions , Decisions..... Hmmmmm

personally i'd never go tippet, PAV will come good ,I think waite is a great risk since he seems to be bothering this year, stevie j cheap but not bothering.

btw i think its a little to early to be cashing in gws players before they hit 300k

It is early, but Adams has far more upside than Kennedy, so I need to bite the bullet now.

Can miss a potential star kid

Tippett is already in so i am riding his roller coaster.

Waite is performing well and i can cop the last weeks rest. PAV has been less than inspiring but has a massive upside and i acknowledge this but Lyon scares me as the coach with a possession game and 70-90pt total team scores that may be hampering his scoring as evidenced early on so far ignoring the GC game.

Stevie J i am not touching.

No cashing in any GWS players for me yet as they are still making $$$. Only when break evens become higher than averages will that happen. ;)

OUT Shiel ($288,900) IN Scott Selwood ($557,900)
OUT Goodes ($552,700) IN Bennell ($416,000)

Bit of a risk, I think. Haha.

Harley Bennell could be a goer though... or possibly a massive flop.

I'd go Danger, Beams or Sidebottom. Beams/Sidebottom look better for you with the amount of Adealaide players you have already. Rioli is too hot and cold and very injury prone. You can't just plan for one game in regards to Rioli playing the Dees, it's about who's going to score you points for the whole year.

Good points. :thumbsu:

Cant take Danger now and i have missed that boat and will risk not having him. Beams and Sidey don't really interest me TBH for whatever reason.

May roll the dice on Cyril.

have goodes in fwd line

mids, bartel, pendles, mitchell, boyd , magner, conglio, shiel , wingard

dont have enough $ to down grade magner, cognilio or shiel down to adams, swap adaMS with goodes and goodes to gaj (if playing)

1 could downgrade bartel to adams and do rest of trade and pocket 200000

2 or downgrade magner, shiel or cognilo to a no name mpp zorko or kerrigde, swap mpp with goodes and goodes to gaj

1 or 2?

Ok I'm 28th in the Country.

19 trades left $574,000 in the bank

Here is my team:

DELEDIO, GODDARD, SCOTLAND, MALCESKI, CLARKE, BUGG, LAKE ( Eliis, Morris )

PENDLES, MURPHY, WATSON, PARKER, MAGNER, SHEIL, ( C.Smith, McDonald )

KREUZER, GILES ( Stephensen, Redden )

FRANKLIN, DANGERFIELD, SIDEY, GOODES, MARTIN, PORPS, D.SMITH (Trelor, Hall )

I am thinking of going:

Sheil > Horsley

Goddes > ? Was thinking Boomer Harvey, Chapman, Pavlich, i already have Sidey so Chapman and Pav will share his bye.

Two questions, since i never go for over all but this year having a crack, am I using too many trades? I know i have to for injuries but after this week i will be down to 17, but will have around $840,000 in the bank, to get Ablett back in and another upgrade in the next week or so.

And secondly, should i make sure i select a player who doesnt share a bye with anyone else in my forward line even if he isnt the best option?

Seeings as you have almost $600k in the bank, I would keep Shiel another week. Still got a lot more to go up in price, and after a slow start he's starting to score too his potential.

So I reckon Clay Smith should be traded out. He's wasting away on your bench, at least Shiel is playing, scoring points and making cash. And you have no current money problems so no point rushing Shiel out.

And Goodes to a forward premium would be the way to go. Down to 17 trades, but with about 560-600k (depending on what forward you get for Goodes) you should be able to make 2 very good upgrades next week/week after, probably Magner & Shiel -> two gun midfielders, and your team will be very close to having a gun 22 (3 maybe 4 off-Giles, Parker and Bugg could be keepers for the next 6-8 rounds) and with 15 trades left.

My 2c

edit: Also, just before round 13 I would to cull Ellis & Morris as otherwise you have 5 round 13 defenders-3 zeroes. In too good a position to throw that away, and if you can get through the bye rounds without carelessly throwing away trades. But Ellis/Morris should be ready to be culled by then and even without the byes it would be a good time to get rid of them.
