Guys I'm 665th in country I have 440k in bank and being tempted to go for it. I have included my team. I'm curious as to how people who are going for major prize are going about it? What's the mindset on using trades etc. View attachment 132783

Dude I was 250th after round 8 last year and peaked at 64th a month later, it is bloody hard to crack the top teams right now when you are still a couple hundred points off the leaders. So many teams above you will have similar teams, particularly that forward line, the MBRs is where you need to make your move imo.

Good luck anyway but from previous experience don't get your hopes up too high, you have to be top 100-150 right now imo.

12th after round 4, 31st after round 5, 12th after round 6.
I was looking at the top teams last week, whoever was 12th last week had a team value of over 12m already (before everyone else around him), he looked to me to be in a great position to challenge due to getting his premos right and value for money out of others. I'll look at your team anyway.

Sitting at 26 now after a good week, 200 points away from top and hoping to peck away at that as quick as I can.

If you want suggestions on what to do if you're ranked in the top 25; make a lot of risky trades, try to win it all in one week, and don't bother checking your team, ever, please.

Injuied Cheek bone needs scans to see if any damage.
he was going alright v the suns 75 with a quarter to go playing pretty much forward.
Seen no info all weekend on sloane.

Yeah he dropped 40k this week after coming off v suns. BE 200 odd and dropping another 27k next week with a BE 163

Will be below 500k

He is killing me

I'm ranked 3,094th but I'm also 'going' for it. Because generally if you do well in the overall you'll do well in your leagues. Don't get the whole mentality of going for you're league wins.
When you are ranked 51k league wins are all you can hope for.....wait... I lost all seven this week after wining six last week. Stupid game.

I can't recall trading in a premo that has shitted it up as badly as Sloane.

Traded him in 3 weeks ago when he was averaging around 140 and since then he hasn't even cracked 80, just two f***ing 60s and then a 75.

He's on the trade table now, especially if he misses next week due to injury.

superfraser the team who was 12th last week fell to 61st after a 2096, had Rich, VDB, Hannebery and a few others let him down.

Good score considering you had Pittard and McIntosh spud it up, good strong rucks, deep midfield. Trade well and make your move upwards, would say your forwardline is nearly ready to upgrade with a 3-0-5 setup, maybe Hogan with a BE of 77 and Heeney who is injured need to be moved on now?

I can't see Harder Rain holding on for much longer due to his midfield not being deep yet, his backline let him down this week also, too many types in his team either go off or stink it up and can be liabilities, think he got his lead off the back of high ceiling types go mega a few weeks in a row and is being slowly reeled in now.

Pretty tight at the top, blokes who were 55th and 47th last week moved to 3rd and 4th with 2350s

First draft of trades.
Vandenberg --> Lever (a week early but I brought in McKenzie last week) via Saad/Newnes/McKenzie to the mids
Hogan -->Mitchell.
Leaves me with 114K cash left over for next week.
However, with CEY already on the bench and doubts on Selwood and Sloane, this will probably change.
