If goldy is out such is life. Im just gonna cross my fingers and hope for the best. Instead of trading in a low scoring ruck rook for crappy cover im upgrading benken to a mid premo. Should give me a 40 pt boost over ben ken and means that ill only be about 20 points down on my score without cox covering goldy. And it makes my team betterer, which is really the goal when trading.

Thoughts on which way to go.

1. Weitering & Wingard out > Simpson & Smith in + $166K
Wingard already lost $93K and with BE of 158 expect to go down more. Do I just cop the loss and go along for the rocky ride with him now?

2. Weitering & McCarthy out > Simpson & Smith in + $14K
McCarthy BE of 43. Can't really see him getting many more than this.

Who to trade out, Parish or Menadue?

Want to buy another night to think about my trades so thinking about holding Menadue this week (first out next week though).

Much of a muchness?

Just going to cop the 0 if Goldy is a late out. Backline is shot if I bring Cox in and I am not 100% convinced in his JS.
It will be a big blow because lots of people have got Goldy as their ruckman. Good for me as i do not have him so i get an advantage in the ruck department.

FYI Goldfault is just as likely to play this week and be rested next. It's Petrie's 300th and next week they are playing Essendon :$

Cox has the round 13 bye and covers all of NicNat/Goldy/Gawn during the byes so he will be very useful then ...if he's still in the team.

The amount of money that Wingard has lost and will lose is irrelevant if you currently have him.
The only thing that matters is how many points he will score from this point forward.

I think you could expect him to finish the season with around an 85 average. Given he is currently averaging 69, that means he would average 89 from this point forward, which is OK for a F6.

So go with option 2 - McCarthy is not a keeper, he has almost maxxed out in price.

With Rance out, Weitering out and Essendon playing Sydney my backline is a shambles at the moment. A double downgrade is the last thing I want to do.

Is anyone else considering rolling the dice on Goldstein this week and picking up Cox at an inflated price next week (especially if Goldy is likely to be rested against essendon and/or carlton).

He will be ~180k.

Other options would be to pick up Hickey or Lycett as F6 next week, not convinced

I don't see Cox getting dropped. Smart player and mature/durable

Already got a potato patch of defenders with rance and laird out, if goldy goes too. stuff it. just write this round off, and rage trade the s^&* out of my team hungover on Sunday @ 8pm.

It depends whether your upgrading or downgrading. If you still need to play a rookie on the field for a while, better off keeping Parish for a bit longer as he can give you 75+ on field points when he does play. Menadue is pretty much worthless as mid bench cover.
