I'm getting Short and Steak Knives vibes - going to pass

Same. Seriously worry about Hawks mid rotation moving forward. No doubt Day is a gun but Nash Newc Worp Ward Mack Nash etc means time inside could potentially be hard to come by. Bloke can play anywhere too. His durability also a concern

English and Darcy seem the top 2 though.

Gawn dropped a lot of marks Monday night, could have gone 20-30pts higher really easily on them alone. Can't see why he won't possibly be a contender, to me he seems to score better the last couple of seasons outside of his ruckwork, so Grundy no huge issue for mine.

And do we know with any degree of certainty that Witts is going to continue to struggle with his back, or did he just have a mildly down game returning?

As we all know, English and Hodor aren't really historically established season keepers. Hodor's already had thousands of rage trades, he's injury prone, Freo's midfield unit is not looking the best ATM and if you had to bet the house on English playing every single game or missing some/playing under an injury cloud, which way would you go?

A lot can change yet this year and surely Darclishous is as shaky as any of the other plausible combos?

looks to be one of the 4 main CBA rotations so far with Newc, Worps &, Nash - ward, mack, moore are more cameos
its more that I cant see him keeping this up for a full season.

I like Day but I doubt he will be a Top 10 Defender

Talent-wise he definitely seems capable, but when you add in the Mitchell factor and his durability it's a risky bet, IMO.

I'm a little tempted by ABrayshaw looking at the more established cheap options, $30K cheaper than Day and has a really juicy block of games coming up.

I guess I'm missing something seeing nobody is mentioning him - role too different from last year, some pre-season factor I missed?

Toying with the idea of missing cogs going for piggy .

Only problem no bank to really get anyone next week.

If I go cogs ...150k to use for piggy ...🐽.
If he goes massive ...I can still get someone good ..
You haven't got Piggy by now, you can wait another week

Moneyball/cookie cutter time.

Have the cash, so why not?
Also get Green back, so happy days.

Only 4 rookies playing, Ashcroft, Hollands, Michalanney, and Baker/Johnson
2 of those mids to become Steele/Miller fallen mids, even if I wait awhile for Touk.

Glaring issues
  • 3 non-playing rooks in Chesser, Roberts, and Madden.
  • Grundy at R1 - but likely only for one more week. His skipper will drop in price more than the Grundflog.

Wanted to upgrade this week but Touk and Pickett have changed those plans

ATM i'm going with
Wilmot to Mitchell
Touk to Day
Pickett to Cogs

Leaves me with 160k allowing me to get cincotta in for Phillips next week, then upgrade mckenna to whoever

or

I hold Pickett with his next 3 being North, GC, Hawks, and trade Marshall to English

Pickett still in contacts talks .
I doubt he's a keeper away.

Miller inj sucks..arse..

i don't think he is either it's just more i feel he could score well across the next 3 and rise his price back up. Big risk tho at a 137be

Go with ya gut .

The 160 k to spend next week is Dam handy tho .
One down then you got 300k to use ..

I just don't think he's getting the mid time as he was looking at getting early on .

Really want to trade:
Cowan to S. Mitchell.
Miller to Bont.
Grundy to English.

But, I’m starting to stress out about my lack of cash generation. I might need to go more budget options… maybe a De Goey and Darcy/Witts…. Leaves me another approx 200k in the kitty.

Bont (125) + English (130) vs Darcy/Witts (110) + De Goey (105) + 200k.

40 points worth 200k? Probably not, but the VC/C scores cannot be ignored either.

Hold Miller (in SC team)? Seems like a no-brainer to trade him but trades are going to become scarce very quickly if the rate we're losing premos continues.
I might try and seek cover this week and check reports as to how he's going.
My season already dead....would be temping to just pull the trigger for sh!ts and giggles

Is it too early to go to Clarry?

I can do Mckenna, Wilmot, Baker out for Clarry, Seamus and Wagner

This will leave me to be able to trade Grundy and Cincotta to whomever next week

If he scores 130 I only miss out on a 15k price drop...

Wait a week on clarry
