With Coops in the team but Cordy out, how do we see Mitch getting used today, a bit more mid time?

We could have some very interesting cb rotations today like Mitch Gresh Crouch or Clark Mitch Steele.
Would assume he would have to as the back up ruck, no other real option unless the through Coops in there?

An away game against a bottom team, shithouse weather and 4 train lines having bus replacements in the east/southeast doesn't equal more than about 20k at the game today.

I'd still rather be at the game than watching it on TV though!

Christ I hate Sunday twilight. Waiting all weekend watching everyone else win and being jealous of all of them.

also we have far more to lose than to gain this week but I think I’m confident that Ross will be impressing that upon the group.

Yes I wrote that right. I think I’m confident. Fence sitting of the highest order but that’s what this club does to you.

Our % the years we played finals under Ross.

2008: 110%
2009: 155%
2010: 121%
2011: 108%

Seems like it’s never really been an issue and the only year it might have been (08) we came out on top of the battle of %.
Probably made up 10% in the last game of the year against the injectors. Got us into the top 4.

A little concerned if I'm honest. Part of being a Saints supporter I suppose.
Cunnington, Simpkin and LDU could tear us a new on in the middle after our mids have been a bit flat the last few weeks.
Our defence should hold up and their defence has been very shakey, but I'd like to see better fwd pressure, better delivery i50 (last 2 weeks have been bomb-it-longs) since Membrey, and quicker delivery.
Effectively give me the Saints of the first month and we win well.
Saints of the last 2 weeks, and LDU rips us.

Saints by 20

I heard a short grab of Clarko on 3AW - he says we're gettable.

We are absolutely.

Fair few people here think this is a lay-down misere. It’s absolutely not.

North are like port and Essendon. They have the wood on us and whenever we think we’re odds on to win we put in a shocker. Not to mention whenever we’re good they love to Bob up and knock us off our perch.

If you play a decent structure against them you can beat them easily

Yeah, like last year when we only scraped home by 53 points.

If we cant beat North its time to book the golf trip in September

I see this game as the opportunity to fine tune the various little things that we haven't got quite right. In all our games this year we've missed many opportunities to kick goals because the pass, handball, mark was just missed, not by much, but just enough. Yep, the old delivery into the forward 50 needs to be that little bit better.

Sometimes this has been due to the sheer speed on the ball but sometimes it's been a touch of panic to get it in there without that extra thought of where the best space would be to get it to.

Maybe that's why the Shermanator has been included, to provide a marking option as a transition step to get it deeper forward?
