You mean rather than have Gokdstein outsprint McKernan down the wing by 15 metres over a 60 meter dash, he will out sprint Jamar by 20 metres?

Every time I see McKernan play he looks very slow and finds it hard to chase. But then he seems to get to where the ball is and find space.

And if they pass the ball to him in a reasonable fashion, he can do something with it. Is he smart and lazy, smart and injured...??? He can definitely play but does not look the same player as last year (so far).

He played reasonably well in patches against North last time including an unpaid mark in our goal square. But Goldstein killed him in one on ones.

Jamar plays well against Goldstein. I recall a game in 2014 (last time they met) where Melbourne played North and he got over 40 tapouts against him and out pointed him most of the day.

Come on man - I'm pretty sure it was you that had said something similar about Crowley last week.

Players do not stay at their peak forever. Crowley's no longer the elite tagger he was, just like Jamar's no longer the AA ruckman he was.

You need to realise that our Top-Up Players are exactly that - Top Ups. There is a reason that we, along with 17 other clubs, didn't pick up Jamar in the National or Rookie Draft. He's supposed to be sitting in an office somewhere in Property Management or something like that. Just because he had a good game against Goldstein once upon a time, you can't honestly think he's going to come in and towel up the leagues best ruckman now.

Not trying to have a go or anything (and for the record, I wouldn't be opposed to him coming in to lend Luey a hand), but to suggest his mobility is on par with McKernan's is just totally incorrect.

Wells, Wright and Hansen out. Farren Ray upgraded for Higgins. Firrito rested apparently.
They lack pace in that side now.

We should not be playing any of the top ups other than Kelly the rest are putrid better to get some game time into the kids

Yeah worked great for the Dees playing nothing but kids. Set them back 5 years. It would be putrid of Essendon to put Darcy at risk with no senior bodies around him.

Apparently McKenna and Ambrose are in according to some guy who based on history isn't wrong. Discuss

Not sure how long we can stay with them for this week. I don't think there's much we can learn from this mob, though our key defenders will get a bit of a workout I'm tipping.

I don't think the Kangas have a killer instinct, so we might stay within reaching distance until 3/4 time.
