Good win after a poor 2nd quarter.

Duggan most impressive despite his one or two errant passes, he won't be perfect.

Shuey is becoming the player we know he can be, B&F up for grabs for him this year.

Our talls were good I thought, they ran very hard and constantly presented, might not have always seen the results, but effort was there.

Gaff did his usual death by a thousand cuts, although he made some bad errors I still like his toughness and constant running.

Wellingham goes from strength to strength. Naitanui had a good 2nd half after being poor early, still needs to learn to mark. He'd be head and shoulders above the competition if he was a reliable mark.

Good to see us respond to some pressure, 6-2 is a massive effort even with the average teams we've played, although the GWS win keeps looking better.

Our next month will be telling.

Duggan has kept Montagna touchless this quarter.

Massive game from Duggan. Commentators saying they are amazed that an 18 year old can switch mid game from attacking half forward / mid to playing a run with defensive game and shut down Montagna who was running amok in the second quarter.

He seems to have the nous to play a number of different roles. A very intelligent young man/player.

I was most impressed by his kick to Kennedy that set up his forth. A few of our players (Masten/Wellingham in particular) would have tried to spear the ball to Kennedy, but he was running on an angle slightly behind his defender and it would have been spoiled, so Duggan looped it perfectly for JK to run onto. Wonderful kick, great poise. He's going to be a star.

What do you want me to say?[/B] Priddis played dreadful, particularly in that first half. He cost us about 3 goals at least. Was he alone in costing goals? God no, Bennell had his fair share of moments, as did Schofield. Only Bennell and Schofield aren't universally praised brownlow medalists who have promo's pumping them up prior to the game are they?

I've already said, to Matt's credit, he was less of a liability in the 2nd half and kicked a good goal.

Basically stop blaming one player for our bad games or bad parts of games.

Stop focussing on all the negatives of one player. Balance the positives and the negatives and look at the whole picture. And don't just throw in a token compliment that you think gives you the kudos to continually bash someone.

Treat other players the same way you critic Priddis.

You and your mates are just 'grinding an axe' and at times you look pretty stupid.

Listen to what experts have to say about Priddis. Today they mentioned how much he has improved over the years. The pass to Cripps early in the third was just one example. Comment was 'years ago Priddis wouldn't have done that he would have kicked blindly long, now he lowers his eyes and looks for the better option.'

So stop living in the past 'grinding an axe' that went blunt years ago.

Oh "we" look stupid do we? Feel free to go ahead and read the gameday thread for the first half of the game. It was a bit of a unanimous call from this board that Priddis was playing terribly. Not just a few "bully posters with an axe to grind"

What's stupid is even after he plays a shocking game, you still can't take your lips off his anus. That's what's stupid. It's a little embarrassing. He played bad, just say it and move on, why must you defend his poor performance and attack other posters?

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

We won mate. I know that must hurt but try and enjoy it.

How do I block this guy? He is like a broken record...

He didn't play a "shocking" game by any stretch, I think that's the point Obeanie is making. Given the exact same game by any other player, you wouldn't call any of them shocking, bar Priddis. He had a terrible second quarter, but overall I thought he played a decent game. Wellingham, Duggan, Yeo, Naitanui and a few others equally had periods where they were invisible, poor or coughed up goals from terrible mistakes, but still contributed well overall.

More love DS. It's not always black and white.

Yes you do look stupid. This post just proves it again.

We won. Won quite convincingly actually. By the team out working the opposition. One thing Priddis brings in spades is work rate and consistency.

Early in the third Priddis lead from the front with impressive skills and poise to set up one goal and kick another. When it counted. He along with a lot of other players pulled out their fingers and worked harder. That's is what must happen for teams to succeed in the AFL.

In the second quarter the entire team looked inept. Not just one player. The entire Eagles team stopped pressuring and the Saints out worked us.

But if you and your groupies want to keep 'grinding your axe' on focusing on one player as the reason for any bad game or bad quarters of a game we just won by 50 points go right ahead.

It makes you look stupid.;)
