Nice team, Thomas. I would consider Naughton > Hibberd with the second trade. Naughton still has a lowish B/E (28) but Hibbo has bottomed out (B/E 66) and Dees have a pretty soft run coming up with Carl, GC & WB in 3 of the next 4 rounds.

Ok these are the trades I am thinking of this week.

Only $6,200 in the kitty.

What's everyone think is the best option?

1. English > Ronke and Holman > Spargo.

2. English > Spargo and Finlayson > Yeo.

3. Holman > Spargo and Murray > Ronke via Sicily.

4. English > Spargo and Finlayson > M.Crouch via Coffield (Naughton onto the ground)

I like option 4 but would trade Holman of Finnas... I think finnas will hold his price for a few weeks and pump out a few nice scores

Good question. That's all that matters from here on. I believe he can. He's going to go on a scoring spree at some point.

Finally won my first league game thanks to some POD Sicily and POD McLean action.

Thinking 2 options atm:
1) Finlayson > Spargo & Brayshaw > Danger
2) Holman > Spargo & Brayshaw > MCrouch

Leaning towards option 2 but Collingwood have a habit of playing guns into form (Zerrett & Zorko over last 2 weeks). Is this the round Danger finally goes boom? One thing to note is he doesn’t have an amazing record against the pies. Last 4: 146, 65, 86, 109 (and that 65 last year was his only horrible score!) but if I don’t get him now, I won’t have him until post byes and I like TKelly @ M8

7 cash cows all mooing at the same time. Doedee, Murray, Finlayson, Holman, Banfield, English, Richards.
Banfield an easy choice for a downgrade, but most of the others are useful from a pre-bye point scoring perspective & cover. Billings (b/e 122) & Christensen (76) have also worn out their welcome as starters & have high b/e's. With no $$ in the bank, I'm tempted to downgrade both of them to Spargo & Ronke and use the 500k to upgrade 3 defenders in the coming weeks but that seems too drastic.

I've also considered Billings > Spargo & TKelly > McRae. Seems crazy as TKelly is looking every bit the keeper & still has a very low b/e, but then so does McRae & he's looking like a top 3 mid at this stage.

Somebody please slap the crazy out of me with some practical trade suggestions to improve my team.

Nice rank mate, congratulations! Could you do a Doedee/Finlayson > Hurley? Will help separate you from the crowd if doedee/finnas keep up 70-80 pt scoring

I don't hate the idea of trading out Kelly, however I feel like it's 2 weeks early. He's 400k right now and in 2 weeks time you'll have 2 more tons and 50k more money to spend. From there he'll be going up slowly.

I'm in the same boat with you regarding Billings, buying high and selling low is not optimal, so you'll lose way too much cash by trading him out, and it will hurt your starting 6 up forward (I know he's scoring like a rookie but he's still a 'premo')

Finlayson could probably be d6 permanently unless he continues to play forward. Banfield > Spargo seems like the obvious trade, and nothing glaring jumps out at me for a 2nd trade. You could use that trade to upgrade Billings, but I wouldn't go down.

TKelly should be your last rookie upgrade (if you want to upgrade him at all). Imagine your annoyance if Macrae has a bad game and your opponent out scores him with TKelly... you’d be kicking yourself!

Feel like i missed the chance to trade out Billings, he same price as cashed up rookies im trading out.
His 133 in Round 1 shows he still has a high ceiling unlike the rookies. Even if he has been dreadful, id say its more likely he outscores a rookie from round 8 - 23.

Billings won't be outscoring anyone in the next 2 weeks.....

Very tough decision! Ceiling vs consistency, depends which C you prefer
