Round 8 vs Port - Wallaces Last Stand?

great post.
cant believe a 20 year old that can take (not for the first time) 9 marks foward of the ball can be bagged so much, who was the last 20 year old to do that for us?
has alot of work to do but deserves a chance.
his disposal cost him. and cost us the match, but i still think he can turn it around.

JON looks good but his disposal can let him down but other times it can be good.

Anyone who thinks JON is any good has absolutely no idea about the game.....he has the worst awareness in the AFL by far, and is only playing because we can't admit that we FAILED with this selection. He should not have been picked up in the top 50, yet we picked him at 8.

Cut him at the end of the season and move on FFS.

he just needs to clean up his disposal a bit. sure he might not be the best player going around but he is a strong lead up forward, it's just when he has the ball i'm worried.

Final line up:

Out: Rance Jack JON Edwards Schulz
In: Brown Cotchin Raines Morton Pettifer

Looks like the title was right. This is the last stand of TW.

2 KPP out and none in. 3 selfish medium forwards in, should only have been 1.

If TW is still coaching next week it could well possibly be:

OUT: Graham, Simmonds
IN: Midget, Midget

His dream side would be complete.

i can't believe it. it was our forward line that let us down last week because we had no one to kick it to and instead of bringing in patto or hughes or actually playing schulz at ff to help out jack, we drop jack and schulz and bring in 3 of our most inconsistent, barely medium forwards! Disgrace.

So you can score easier without a CHF or FF? News to me.
they werent exactly providing that much, they need to reconfigure to get the ball moving faster rather than having a kpp that move to slow. also he midfield will benefit by having short bursts on the ball with more rotations.

sshould finally get a bit more and score easier now.
I don't think so, we will struggle to get 10 goals.
Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out Terry you useless moron:rolleyes:

I understand that but you still need a bit of structure in the team, we have no targets for our smalls to crumb off. Only type of team you can play a bunch of small forwards in is a team with very good skills such as the Bulldogs because they can pinpoint targets. The ball will come out faster than it goes in that's for sure. Also you do reward performance but if that is the case why is Raines getting a game? He was terrible in the VFL the other week. If your whole backline has a few bad games you don't bring in a bunch of short people to replace all of them do you? Same principle goes for the forward line, you replace position for position. Terrible selection once again.

I want to ask one qusetion what is TW issue with Thursfield its a joke i thought straight in for Rance.Patto and Graham were a good team togher and our future and what does TW bring in guys who let him down time after time.Brown straight in he's been shocking all year. Our football department is laughable and I hope March and his board clean them out.

Well ... the one that has been down there has been a cardboard cutout ... so whats the point of that ...?

Sheesh ... earn the jumper FFS

I'm a big fan of earning the jumper myself Iddy and happy that Jack gets the flick to shake him up. What I have missed is what excatly those coming in have done to deserve their place? Brown 3 crap games in a row before injury, would have been dropped if not and straight back in this week like all is forgiven, Pettifer who has played 2 games after a knee reco , the last wandering around half back picking up possessions as the Burgers get belted by Casey. Morton, I agree, should not have been dropped but even so didnt play a game last week. If we have a rule they all should be subjected to the shame scrutiny.

Its clear Wallace is trying to save his ass. As if Petts gets a game, I mean come on. He might kick 2-3 but will not chase or tackle. Once the new coach comes in he wont play. So there is no point. Up forward we are in trouble. Simmo, Brown and Bowden will have to kick 10 between them as it appears they will be our targets up front.
