I think our ability to curb Lynch and Balta will go a long way to determining if we can win this game.

Based on what Chol and Casboult did to us last week and how Gold Coast were able to slice through us at various stages, makes me pessimistic about our chances.

If it is a wet day that may assist us.
Our KMs and thus pressure were supposedly well down against GC - assumedly due to the virus that went through the team.

Edit, just read that it's still around. Could be an issue again.

So .............

Out Maynard (flu)- In Ruscoe
Out Admas (flu) - in McCrae
Out N Diacos (flu)- in Henry
Out McInnes (Flu )sub in Bianco

Who else is ready
Poulter?

About right. Poulter, Cox and Harvey Harrison are the extent of those who are ready. Harrison may not necessarily be a star but he has a good body. Much more muscular than others.

The boys won't miss with the flu. Fly was having a laugh about it and a few of the boys pushed through last week and played.

Adams just coming off Covid and cops the flu, poor bastard.
They may gently load him. Covid can affect lungs and a number of players have reported difficulties with it. Have to take it slowly and get back without a short cut.

Of course the Richmond flog at work won't take that into account, if they win, even though he whined like a Lil' bitch about injuries derailing Richmond last year. 🙄

Richmond supporters genuinely have forgotten how bad they were. They've had their patch and I expect it to not resurface for another decade and a bit. Their drafting hasn't reeled in too many stars bar Balta since they've won the flag. Marlion is too old to count.

I think 3 flags in 4 years is more than a “patch” 😃.

If N Daicos is struggling with the flu, l wouldn't play him this weekend. We don't want to run the kid into the ground, plus Fly did say this week the club will have to rest him at some point. Get him refreshed for the Doggies game.....
I've never understood the theory of resting the youngsters. Don't they recover much quicker than the older guys?

I've had covid for the past week and I can vouch for that. Still out of breath very quickly with any kind of exertion.

It's not really resting, the guy has had the flu, so if it's going to cause him to play under some duress, then we may as well have him as an out for this week, and have him back fit against the Doggies . .

His match fitness is fairly different to most youngsters given the disruption of COVID.
It looks to be higher than most youngsters to me.

I suppose the whole resting thing is that young players aren't expected to be able to push through niggles like the senior players are? Which would depend on him having a niggle - or the flu like Dead Eye Didak suggested.

I think he had a minor foot issue recently, so who knows. He also is a slight build, so a week of R&R is probably not the worst idea. However, he doesn't seem fazed by the physicality or anything, so who knows. Might be the go to rest him for the flight over to Perth in a fortnight or so
