Possible ins (in the mix): šŸ„£

Mitch Lewis - back within the next week or two. Will likely be a chance for this game. (Best 22 when fit)
Luke Breust - will be a test and presume a big chance to return. (Best 22 when fit)

Mabior Chol - back from suspension, battling a wrist/forearm injury, wait and see and where he fits into structure.
Seamus Mitchell - will be back after being managed, who comes out?
Ethan Phillips - has been very impressive at VFL level, will be close to debut, Sicily dependant.

Chad Wingard - still requires conditioning at VFL and will play more game time to push an AFL case.
Changkuoth Jiath - is back this week through VFL for conditioning and will be an option in 1-2 weeks.
Denver Grainger-Barras - has been training back from injury, will likely see VFL for match fitness, form and likely in the side later this season.

Colour =
Green - Likely to come in, not confirmed but 100% in the mix.
Yellow - A chance to come in, in the middle. Unsure.
Red - Unlikely to come in, in the mix.

Possible outs (on the chopping block): šŸŖ“

Harry Morrison - quiet game but worked hard, a chance to be dropped or sub.
Josh Ward
- quiet game, damaging with it and worked hard, chance to be dropped to work on his game more or sub.
Cam MacKenzie - subbed from the game in the third quarter so a chance to be a dropped to work in the VFL or sub, a decent game.

Jack Gunston - a chance to be rested and managed soon, could it be this week?
James Worpel - below on form the last month, still performing okay but heat will come for his role.
Nick Watson - will be an option to be dropped to get confidence and work in the VFL, although unlikely and maybe sub again, although also unlikely.

James Sicily - will play if fit, will see how his shoulder feels throughout the week.

Colour =
Red - on the chopping block this week, big or more likely chances to be out.
Yellow - a chance to go out, whether dropped or rested.

Green - will play if fit, wait and see for fitness.

This is just my opinion of the possible ins and outs, thereā€™s a bit to play out this week for the options and who could return/go out.

Love this post in part because in dark mode it almost looks like an old Geocities page. Just needs some flashing fonts and a visitor counter!

If Chol is still injured and Sic is still a little sore, do we just play Sic forward like we did in the last quarter and roll with Dear, Gunners and Sicily?

Seems pretty dangerous, bring Serong back to cover their talls.
You probably bring Phillips in

Play Frost on King
Scrim on Membreys
Phillips on Hayes/Marshall
Weddle on Owens

Let Gunston have a rest and see how Dear goes without his on-field coaching, I'm sure he will be ok.

Hopefully Lewis gets up and we can see how the two of them work together.

Would rather Watson gets a full game, maybe Breust as sub if he's close to ready?

Sicily:

1. dislocated his shoulder; and
2. ended up playing at the other end of the ground as his ankle injury was bad enough in the last qtr that he couldn't jump off that foot.

On a 6 day turnaround - he'd be a 5% chance of playing this weekend surely.

Surely Seamus comes in, Amon roles to the wing and Morrison plays the sub role.

Chol will come in but not sure who for, would like to see the Hawrdwick and Sicily Rotation continuously tried, thought it helped Sic get into the play a lot to
i love the Sis and Dimma swap mid game, adds different dimensions to both forward and back and if either can snag a few sneaky goals Bonus!

At the risk of shooting Bambi, Gunners is shot. The general consensus is he had a good game due to his six shots at goal. People who run with this argument canā€™t bring themselves to mention he kicked two goals four behinds. From where he took those shots, six goals straight would have been a good return, five/one reasonable, four/two expected. Golden opportunities deep inside your forward 50 are precious and cannot afford to be wasted. Gunners is wasteful.

We are ranked 17th for goals from inside 50s and dead last for goals to points ratio. And we are not particularly good at disrupting opponents ball movement from behinds- the 12 point play. Gunners is part of the problem and he canā€™t chase which makes it easier for opposition teams to get you the other way.

I don't think anyone is saying Gunston is the player he was, the post said "Let Gunston have a rest and see how Dear goes without his on-field coaching" - I'm asking why we would do that? He's already been thrown in the deep end, that would be like throwing him in the deep end with his laces tied together.

Removing Gunston with no genuine replacement just to see how Dear goes without him is silly, Gunners is helping his development.

Another week without Lewis?

I thought he looked better than he has for a while. The accuracy will return.

Yeah, I like this. He would demand a good backman taking pressure off Dear and Gunston.

This makes absolutely zero sense

Ins - Watson Ramsden
Outs - Morrison Dā€™Ambrosio

I would bring in Ramsden to forward/ruck that way Dear can play as a permanent forward.

Hardwick Frost Scrimshaw
Impey Sicily Weddle
Mac Kenzie Worpel Maginness
C Mac Dear Moore
Watson Gunston Ginni
Meek Newcombe Day

Bench - Amon Ward Nash Ramsden
Sub Dā€™Ambrosio

I wish Carlton felt this way about Mckay last year and traded him to us for a 2nd round pick.

I donā€™t know what games youā€™ve been watching but no chance Dā€™Ambrosio is getting dropped to sub.
