For those who haven't already signed up, the 2018 BF Freeze MND challenge in on round 12 this year. It's a highlight of the SC year.

Head to the stickied thread for details

Yeah & If you don't join I refuse to share my expert analysis of SC with ya!:p:oops:

If that's not enough incentive for you all I don't know what is!:moustache:

Just about the best midfield you could ask for. Only problem is no Macrae and everyone else saved big with Conglio which hurt your elsewhere.
Yes Coniglio did very well for his price and has been good for those who took him in their original teams. I made other savings with cheapish players like Sicily and McLean that offset not having him though. I wouldn't get Coniglio now as that value is gone and I'm not convinced he'll be one of the very top mids by season's end. Macrae was always going to be good and is one of my very few options to replace TKelly. Hopefully his scoring will ease off a little to make him more affordable but if it doesn't I guess that will prove he's worth the extra cost.

Nice mid. Mine is very similar, except Cogs for MCrouch. I’m expecting similar output for both towards rest of season.

Eyeing off Rockliff following his bye next week (to become M9) and then Macrae following his R12 bye. TKelly will unfortunately be the sacrificial lamb, but you can’t get too attached to your rooks. Expecting him to slow towards back end of season
Yes people get way too attached to rookies who perform well. Rocky could make a fantastic M9 is he gets back to even close to his best. I'll probably be looking at a fallen DPP MF for that position though. Not Billings! Although he's certainly a MF.

I can't believe people are going well enough to trade out T. Kelly. The dude will probably hang in my side for the rest of the year.

I still need to get rid of Holman, Petracca, Murray, Finlayson (may keep like T. Kelly), Higgins, Gowers & Townsend.

People are falling in love with the idea of Danger or a full premo midfield. Based on evidence if your lucky you'll get +20 pts a week going Kelly>Danger but should get +30-40 pts for going a def rookie to a Yeo/Simpson type.

I like the cut of your jib..:moustache:

Looks like the key forwards might benefit this week, after Clarko's conversation with Gil.

You're all welcome. :moustache:
How can you not like that splendid angry dwarf campaigner?

Useless fact - There are 10 players that are in all the Top 10 overall teams

Laird
Sicily
Doedee
Fyfe
Cripps
Mitchell
Coniglio
T. Kelly
Gawn
Heeney

Danger is only in one team. Martin, Smith and McLean are in all but one.

One team has Mason Cox........

Yes, I have too much time on my hands...
Not as useless as you think mate, thanks for this.
Peeps can work out strategies for the run home, teams to be faced etc...
This is actually a good stat for people to consider for POD consideration and rising up the rankings.

Too late to post in the Round 8 discussion so here it is:

You really have to keep up with all relevant news, do the captains loophole every week and get all the rookies right or you're SOL and JWF in this game. I don't know how I completely missed the boat on this Ben Ronke fella and here I am stuck with Garlett who never scores well and isn't making money and Fogarty who isn't getting enough games or scoring well enough to make money. Then I'm still stuck with Dom Barry who isn't getting games. Holman who's maxed out and not made enough to make a worthwhile trade with, Dow who still hasn't even made close to a 100k and now Naughton who's apparently injured who I'll need to upgrade. I've had a look at rookies on the bubble and it's slim pickens.

Yet again Tim Kelly outscores more than 3 of my premos. Every f'n week there's at-least 3 that just don't deliver and hurt my scoring. I'm usually doing other things on the weekend so don't always remember to do the loophole and it's absolutely crucial in this game. I wanted to trade Luke Ryan after his previous few weeks but there wasn't any affordable sideways trades worth trading to and didn't have any rookies worth downgrading. Thankfully he came through with a great score but what will he average for the rest of the year? What the hell do I do with Bryce Gibbs? Now a 5 round avg of 80.

Now Doedee and Finlayson have maxed out and aren't scoring nearly as well as they first were so they need to go, but who for? Only Keefe is on the bubble and he hasn't scored well nor does he have good job security now that the Rock Lobster is back. Cumming? Only played one game and no idea what his job security is. Even though he's already made a ton of cash I still think Sicily is the next man to bring in to my backline as he's in the best form of any backman at the moment and is a must have. So Doedee & Finlayson > Cumming & Sicily? Is it too late to get on Ben Ronke? How do I salvage this team and get back on track?
Have you not logged on to sc since round 3?

Kelly's averaging 100, if you rate him at about a 95 for season average (YMMV) he'll average close to 92 for the remainder.

Dangerfield's averaging 115, if you rate him at about a 122 for season average (YMMV) he'll average close to 126 for the remainder.

So that's 34 points (which is comparable to the 30-40 pts for going from a def rookie to a Yeo/Simpson type) but with the key difference that Dangerfield is quite possibly another legitimate captaincy option for the remaining 14 games. Yeo and Simpson, not so much.

I'd be wary about upgrading Kelly to any old premo midfielder but if it's Dangerfield I can see the reasoning, particular given he's bottoming out in price.

And presumably it's not an "either/or" proposition, i.e. those who are upgrading Kelly to Dangerfield intend to upgrade a def rookie to a Yeo/Simpson type very soon.
