I'd just love to have him explain what he sees as the "Port Adelaide way"!

On SM-S711B using BigFooty.com mobile app
He and Koch have hijacked the "Port Adelaide way" over the past 10 years and changed it, perhaps forever.

It used to mean the relentless pursuit of excellence and high expectations.

Now it means crumbling under the slightest pressure and the embodiment of mediocrity.

Enjoy your legacy campaigners.

That'll be quarter time, would be shocked if it's not a 15 goal loss.

Four of these players will kick 4 each, bookmark it.

Melbourne weather for Friday night is shown below.
Perfect conditions for skillful footy in Geelong.
They will hit many targets.
Port will hit Tom Stewart.

Ports groundballs will still be s**t.
Ports forwards will still not play in front and will attempt to chest mark everything.
National stage.
Walloping.

President will again be MIA.
Coach will blame goalkicking, injuries, Geelong being a good side, 6 day breaks.
Discussion will be diverted to Port's next game.

Unfortunately Port's next game is against a fighting Hawthorn, who will beat Port at Adelaide Oval to leave Port at (5 - 5).

Port will then bounce back against North in Tassie, by 7 points (6 - 5).

Carlton will then beat Port by 4 goals at Adelaide Oval on the Thursday night (6 - 6), the short break will be blamed.

6 and 6 into the bye round.

then

L: Giants in Sydney (6-7)
W: Lions at home (7-7)
W: St Kilda at Marvel (8-7)
W: Bulldogs at home (9-7)
W: Suns on the goldie(10-7)
W: Richmond at home (11-7)

5 in a row - Ken re-signed for a 14th and 15th year

then

L: Carlton at Marvel (11-8)
L: Sydney at home (11-9)
L: Melbourne at the MCG (11-10)

Boak and Dixon announce their retirement before the Showdown

L: Adelaide (11-11) to keep Port out of the finals with a 5 point win
The game is at 2:50pm on the Sunday and only shown in SA.

L: the dead rubber vs Freo at Freo (11-12)

At least 2 assistant coaches leave the club.
There is a full review, that takes 3 days.

Then all talk turns to Port's AFLW team playing under lights at Alberton and memberships for 2025 are released.

The club pays off the remaining 3 million in debt and Matt Shervington is announced as the new Port Adelaide president, to take over in 2028 once he learns about the club.

At the AGM David Koch indicates surprise that the Crows have an agreement to have the AFL leave the Crows board in 2028.

Port announce that they will have a reserves team in the VFL from 2026.

All good, 'cos I've got a contract.

PS, "I've got a contract" and 'playing the Port Adelaide way" are two of Hinkley's sayings that seriously has me yelling at clouds.

We should sit him in front of a TV with videos of the grand finals in 1954-59, 1962-63, 1965, 1977, 1979-81, 1988-90, 1992, 1994-96, 1998-99 and 2004 so he learns what playing the Port Adelaide way means.

On second thoughts, just sack him.

Geelong floods as much as any team in the competition at the moment. they run hard from defence.
kicking points just gives them the ball and shoots us in the foot. Finlayson seems to be able to find some space better than the other tall forwards And just needs to move on from giving interviews.
Lord is missed as another option.
We need more run from the back lines and Bergman could be considered. Allir Will need to have his running shoes on for Cameron or Bergman follows Cameron foward and allir does the intercept job.
Sweet has shown he can compete on the strength tussle. Geelong‘s ruck is more agile.
So burgoyne on one wing and Fred on the other.
We have only one small dancing foward and no to bring in the first years.
So some holes the selectors need to fill-in. Last time at Geelong we were okay hoping this time will be the same.

If only the club had moved on and picked him last week.

So another loss will satisfy you? We exist to be okay.

When do we ever win a game that nobody expects us to win? When have we last had a genuine upset win?

Geelong in Geelong, Brisbane in Brisbane, Collingwood (lately) at the MCG. Can't even get close. Sometimes we put up some resistance for a while then fall away badly.
We do however have an uncanny knack of being other teams best win of the season.

You have us kicking at least one goal in each quarter. ;)

That's right. We'll kick a goal in every quarter, so we won't have that to vent about.

Our kicking will be shit, but not the difference, so we can't hold onto that.

We'll lose by 39. It won't look quite like a thrashing, but we'll never be in the game.

It's actually the ultimate frustrating loss. Way worse than a blowout, as no one outside the club (and most within) will even notice and they'll just move on and talk about learning and drawing positives. Gee it's hard to win in Geelong, right?

I'm expecting the post match presser to say - at least it wasn't as bad as Elizabeth vs Fitzroy.

Timmy G better have a few Valium's before he commentates this game.
He was angry enough in the commentary last week when forwards would not GET IN FRONT or EXTEND THEIR ARMS.

I can't wait for him and Tredders to do this game, going to start charging my phone now.

This will probably be like the Port game against Norwood in 1981 when we kicked 16.23 to 12.1 (we won't be the 16.23 this time).

So we will kick with deadly accuracy (tick) and they will kick really badly (tick) and it won't matter one iota.

Its funny how we won this trade initially but then Duursma never went on with it, Burton became a defensive liability.

Luckily Chad faced injury woes otherwise we may have regretted that one.
We are still benefiting from this trade, we flipped Duursma for BZT.

Don't go getting me all excited.

there was no winning getting rid of wingard, a heinous decision
