Rozee is ready for an upgrade to a premo fwd - except they're all ******* ****.

Already got Danger, Telly, Dunkley, Boak.

Not keen on spending 550k+ on old man Mundy.

Who else to go for? Daniel?

Menegolas not a bad option if youre brave sounds like he would have played yday if it was a final and is as cheap as he will get. Dahlhaus will be consistently knocking out 80-90 in his role without ever going big but the fwds are so shit this year that might be enough for you

**** i really need Rotham to be named this week.

Come Supercoach gods.. Rotham this week and Hately next week pls..

I'd say it's still fairly unlikely at this point. Would need to be an injury or sudden omission of Schofield or Cole for it to happen.

It's not impossible

Trade suggestions if any View attachment 672840

Looks decent so just prioritise on field rookies

Next 3 weeks:
Duursma, Atkins, Drew, Petruccelle out

This week unless a good downgrade option is available (do you like Corbett?) maybe just an upgrade.

Cameron? Jelly?

No idea what I will be doing yet as I have 5 midfielders possibly unavailable this week; Fyfe (MRO), MCrouch, Atkins, Ross (all injured) and Bailey Scott wasting away doing nothing. My season is in free fall; have dropped 18k spots in 3 weeks!

Wanted to go Atkins to Hately (please pick him Leon) and Walsh to Jelly or Telly but that may be a luxury this week.

May even have to go one week late on a Dylan Moore or Corbett (via swing of Setters to mids); just to have a full compliment. :drunk:

I do like corbet coz of js. Stocker js meh same as hately. I wanna hold walsh for now

Walsh > J Kelly.

My team isn't far off at all and at the moment I'm extremely happy with it. DEF is almost sorted - happy to leave Hore there for a while. Still think Libba has a few more tonnes in him. Rookies aren't great but as long as 3-4 are making cash it's all good.

Maybe a downgrade on Thursday night after I see team selections.

Bit of a review passing the 1/3rd mark of the season. All info available on the SC site of course, but i know it helps to see it in here.
Top 10 not overly controversial, but sometimes seeing it spelt out helps with perspective.
No surprise it only contains 1 def and 1 fwd in top 10, and 2 defs and 2 fwds in top 20. Both fwds though are mids in reality. No actual fwds in top 20.

(Top 10)
Neale
Cripps
Grundy
Bontempelli
Gawn
Macrae
Boak (fwd)
Merrett
JPK
Lloyd (def)

Merrett and JPK identical down to the last point.

(11-20)
Hurn (def)
Cunnington
Sloane
Treloar
Oliver
Kelly (fwd/mid)
Duncan
Ryan (def)
Fyfe
Pendlebury

As usual for many, the search is now on to combine the guys in decent form with those who consistently perform well in second half of a season.
Starting Boak was the pick of the season. Cunnington and Ryan not far behind.

A little surprised at just how good these guys have been until i had a closer look :

JPK
Hurn
Cunnington
Sloane
Ryan

Wont be a shock to those who already own them.

So, as of completion Rnd 8 looking like the perfect midfield to have had is something like this :

Neale, Cripps, Bontempelli, Macrae, Merrett, JPK, Cunnington, Sloane, (Treloar, Jelly)

The two "must haves" over the last month have been Grundy and Gawn. #1 and 2. No shock there.
Hurn the best def on recent form at the moment. Probably a must have, along with Fyfe on more recent form.

Right now though, Mundy and Merrett are top 5 pigs in form . Mundy cleaning up without Neale, after a very ordinary start similar to Dunkley.
Mundy and Dunkley having the DPP fwd/mid plus a decent bye probably puts them close to top of the pile right now. Bit of a shock to me until I saw it.
These are the two we really needed to have picked up in the mid 400K's. Both playing midfield to put in our fwd lines next to the more popular early options of Boak and Telly, who are still going just peachy.

Is it time to pull the trigger on Walsh? I think his price is tapped out, but he will still end up averaging around 90 by seasons end so definitely worth keeping if he ends up M8/M9

My other huge concern is Brayshaw, I've had him since day 1 and so far lost $70k, with another projected -$25k loss coming (huge 140 Breakeven coming up)... Do I jump ship now if it means turning him into a Macrae/Zerrett type? Or even sideways to Menegola (which opens up a DPP link with my forwards)?

Thoughts?

Just one trade for me this week. Parker> Tim Kelly. Was a choice of either Kelly or Fyfe for me last week. Took Fyfe. Have to get Kelly this week as his BE is only 34 and he'll skyrocket in price. That will do for now unless something happens on the rookie front.

Getting an itchy trigger finger with Heeney too. Will consider that one during the week. Clearly not fully fit.

I'm keen on Sloane at his price for the 110 average but he has Eagles (Hutchings) and GWS (De Boer) in his next 4 matches. Also has the Eagles and Saints (Steele) again this year.

Thoughts?

Got a bye round question. If I only have 17 players on field with Gawn and Grundy, and ROB is on the bench as an emergency, will his score count as the 18th?
Nope. Works as normal with on-field/bench, just only have your best 18 scores count
