    And what a solid start we made. 3KZ is Football with 32 possies and Phar Ace with 31 (plus sharing 3 goals) just carrying on where they left off. SpecialBruce also snagged 31 and royboy2 with 30 (and 5 frees for - bloody teacher's pet). Ball on a string stuff here. Meanwhile TheGoatBaron kicked 4 majors in a dominant forward display, ably supported by Dicky Fitzwell with 3, and Mooch and 3KZ is Football with a couple each. DERRINALPHIL - despite temporarily handing the truck reins to Ed_Gein - still got 14 taps at the stoppages and was decent around the ground. Last but not least, debut boy HinkleysHeroes slotted right in with 24 touches and 5 tackles.

    We were quite handball happy this week. Well when I saw we, I mean like the royal we. I don't do handballs.
     
    Roys Sweet Olympic Update - Day 1

    Fair to say Day 1 wasn't our day, we competed in the Rugby 7s and recorded 1 win and 3 losses to finish 12th.

    Roys 7 Cooney Island 12
    Roys 0 Baghdad 33
    Roys 14 West Coast 26
    Roys 26 Sin City 12

    We did not compete in the 4x100m swimming relay.

    Tomorrow however is a new day and TheGoatBaron will battle for Gold in the Fencing

    Barrels Award!​


    Oh my gosh its Barrels time!

    Our game against the Royals on Sunday gone brought us 4 points, (and brought TheGoatBaron 4 goals as he's attempted to remind me about 4 times - and counting), but did it bring us a pleasant thread? I say yes. The Royals had a great turnout at their home ground and the noise made the atmosphere festive.

    It's now my duty to talk about those Royals we've decided were the most enjoyable to be around last week. Rated fun opponents though not hitting the top 3 were krakouers and new player manicpie . Crimson Azure sure pleased some on his return to the Sweet FA. Brenton Davy was entertaining for much more than just his abysmal accuracy in front of goal, mentioned by a number of those who voted.

    But out in front as the most enjoyable opposition player from the Royals, and thus the recipient of the S38R01 Barrels Award, was the vibrant Cadsky .

    Enjoy your barrel, Cadsky! May it bring you much pleasure for rounds to come.

    This is a Roys team initiative we've run for about 15 seasons where we get together after a game and vote on who we think were the most fun posters from the opposition. Cadsky got the most votes but you were rated highly :)

    Mobbs & Mooch finished 4th in the Synchronized Diving and 3KZ is Football made it out of the qualifying rounds however was beaten be the eventual Bronze medalist in the Rd of 16 in the Surfing

    Next up we have Ed_Gein in the Canoeing and Phar Ace in the Triathlon
