Will spend the time researching appropriate end of season trip venues. I'm thinking Rio via Vegas. As usual, anyone with visa restrictions to these destinations - please arrange a fake passport.

The Demons already have a match lined up against the Trolls for Monday coming. I suggest any match with Mt Buller needs to be late next week.

This works for us as we are older and more decrepit and can't afford too many pre-season matches.

Yeah yeah so yeah congrats Fred and me for being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Roys have two slots there now, four other teams have one.

Yes, I said slots.



Anyways, team positions will probably be around about what our praccies have suggested. Yell out if you don't like them.

We are a pretty concise unit and happy to keep chilling until at least the preseason, or maybe not even bother turning up until the real stuff starts.



The new team proposal is under discussion among the Committee. Would be fun to have new opponents after a few seasons of stagnation, but there's a number of pros and cons. Clearly their team is comprised of the criminals, while the prostitutes are all at the Hawks.




Preseason comp is likely to start very early October, maybe even late September. Just stick tight, keep checking in from time to time, and I'll spam yers when we have a match coming up.



Guernsey and logo settled, new ground chosen, sponsor sorted. We're the goods.



My season goal is to achieve a final position of no less than third. We have time. Less than the other teams because nearly all of us are old, but we still have time.

Which is better than most other clubs' players who are doing time.



Our club patrons are on-board.

Cheerleaders team has been hastily recruited as follows :

Our cheersquad has been in touch, as has our number #1 ticket holder, seen here egging us on at a recent training drill :

Our training drills occur here on this thread, where I assess fitness and attitude judged by responses to training post questions. Actual form and match thread activity are the prime movers though.

Our first training session is thus:
Name ANY ONE experience from playing Sweet FA so far that has been particularly memorable for you. If you're new, you can either answer it in a pissy way like "I posted here once, I remember that" or something equally vigourous. Best answers get a response akin to "lol" or something.

PS: Extra points if you can name the cheerleaders.

Now, another point of order: The West Gate Trolls.

If it turns out that they are to be spread over existing teams for a probationary period while assessing the new team's viability for entering the competition in Season 15, then we as a club will be invited to take some on.

We are predominantly a Roys fans club though.

Should we open our doors to a couple of Trolls?

Some of my personal highlights in no particular order are -

-Accidentally setting fire to Fred's shed at a pre-season BBQ
-Having Mobbs and IMS bail me out of the lock-up only to take me straight back post match
-Forgetting to put my shorts on prior to running out on the ground (Round 6, Season 11)
-Hiding Fat Pizzas car and then forgetting where I had moved it to
-Jumping over a pool full of sharks on my BMX as part of last seasons GF entertainment
