Was difficult landing Adams only Shaw got it over the line

This would be one of the biggest trades of the last decade almost impossible to pull off

GWS wwon't lay down and happen which they shouldn't and will demand massive compensation

We had 2 1st Round Pick after Daisy Left. I say we with 1 of those 1st Round Picks and Maybe a Steak Knives we could of still done the Trade

We could not get near a GWS offer for Cameron. Minimum would be 5 years at $1.5m by then. And trade wise the Sidebottom deal suggested would have to be on top of pick 1.

Forget it! GWS have to much salary cap advantage and the AFL are too motivated for Cameron to stay there for on and off field reasons.

Worth making them pay it, if only to get their cap pressure up and possibly prize loose another young gun.

Yeah and The Guy who posted the Rumour just did that for a Laugh

Better of waiting for him to become a free agent

Giants won't let that happen.

Something really bad would have to happen between Giants and Cameron for him to leave as a Free Agent in his 8th Season

Though it is highly unlikely that we would be able to pick up Cameron, GWS certainly look like they are preparing to lose a key forward. Why else would they pick up Boyd and McCarthy in the same draft? Surely they can't have Cameron, Patton, Boyd and McCarthy all in the same side. The only reason I can see is that they are preparing for players leaving or trying to get currency for future trades.

Well the 1 or 2 that get Left out we still might Chase to get them off GWS. Though Depends on Moore and who else we bring in to the Club they Draft/Trade/Free Agency

We can ask about Cameron but there is no way we will land him. Better off going for one of the other 3 or 4 good key forwards they have because they wont all be able to get a game

Buddy Franklin and Ablett, arguably the 2 best players in the game and most expensive have changed clubs in recent years... getting Cameron is definitely not out of the question especially when GWS start to feel a salary cap squeeze from all their 20 first rounders starting to ask for big coin.

They have brilliant depth to cover Cameron already, however they would ask tonnes from us.

They have brilliant depth to cover Cameron already, ...

Would have thought they'll try to hang onto the best two of Cameron, Patton and Boyd. Hard to see all three of those being played in the same forward line. Barring injuries, would think they'll trade one of those three at the end of 2014 / 2015 for the best deal they can get.

It'd come down to who wants him (almost everyone) and who can afford him and who can offer GWS a good deal. Can't imagine GWS would be too interested in draft picks anymore. So Collingwood would be in as good position as any team to offer a good trade.

Who would have predicted this time last year that Shaw would be traded out at season's end? Things change. Anything is possible.

Would have to be unrestricted because BWS will be able to match any offer by any club.

More importantly, what are the weekly specials this week? I badly need a slab of something cold to counter the weather.

If they manage to turn one of them into a key defender and another into a ruck-fwd then theres room for all of them......

Can't wait
