On the Greg Lynn committal proceedings Crown Prosecutor Mr Dickie said 'It is clear hopefully from the document, and if it's not clear from the document it's clear hopefully from the charges put before the court, that it is alleged of course that the accused acted with murderous intent when he allegedly killed the two victims.'

Herald sun with a new article this morning. Paywalled but seems like a rehash of prior information

Possibly same as this: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...etails-emerge-death-secret-lover-campers.html

The Police letting the info go at their pace, mostly previously known.

'A motorist, believed to be towing a trailer, was seen driving erratically around midnight after reaching a closed gate on a narrow stretch of road north of the campsite, the Herald Sun reports.
Finding the road unalterably blocked, the driver - who was heading towards Myrtleford - performed a 20 to 30 point turn with a trailer on the narrow road and then turning to go back the way the car had come.

Hours later, the Nissan Patrol was snapped by a roadside security camera 60 km away on the Great Alpine Road at Mount Hotham just after sunrise.

Police are yet to formally reveal whether the two incidents are linked - and if the vehicles seen are in fact the same.
If so, the driver would have required considerable expertise of the area to navigate the perilous journey between the two locations.
The drive between the sightings would have involved tricky driving routes on challenging remote tracks that zig-zag through the region.'

The full article is worth a read.

Imagine if the owner of the blue Nissan is innocent but he knows if he comes forward no one will believe him and he'll be charged immediately, he must be shitting himself

He can’t be charged with anything unless there’s solid evidence.

Obviously we need to wait to see if he is charged etc, but it’s great to see the police follow through when they say there are promising leads.

Sometimes it can appear they are just trying to keep a story at the top of the news cycle in hope, but it’s great to see progress. Interesting to see what comes of it.

Arrested? Or taken in for questioning? An arrest needs to be supported by strong evidence. We’ll see.

The 55-year-old Caroline Springs man was arrested at 5.30pm on Monday. He will be interviewed by police on Tuesday morning.

Sometimes appeals like the recent one here seem desperate, but the cops have been right on it with Cleo Smith and this one it appears. Hopefully it’s the same with the Tyrell investigation.
The police never let on everything they are doing. I guess that's why it's open to the media - and forums like this - to speculate.

Interesting to note that he was arrested in the High Country, reported by one outlet to be "High Plains". There are 2 High Plains in that area ; Dargo High Plains to the North East (which alleged person would have travelled through to get from Wonnangatta to the Great Alpine Rd) or Howitt High Plain to the South (which is directly above the most commonly used access track into the Wonnangatta Valley, Zeka Spur).

Quite a coincidence if unrelated. Hiding or relocating evidence perhaps?
