ring the doctor and ask which one is ok to take. not too difficultso if Crowley has a headache and hes at home or whatever, he has to go in all the way to see a team doctor to get given some tablets? Sounds ridiculous to me.
Painkiller or a Crackpipe. HmmmmMy first thought is maybe we should not have given WC supporters so much drug related smart arse jokes. Because they are about to all come back
so you call the doctor at 2am in the morning?ring the doctor and ask which one is ok to take. not too difficult
I didn't think codeine was banned.Panadeine Forte with Codeine.
Nurofen plus.
Banned.
Banned.
Trouble is the excuse from both a raging drug cheat and someone stupid tends to be the same "I didn't know, it was an accident."My first reaction was to laugh at Crowley testing positive
However, if what the dockers are saying is correct that it was a painkiller that caused the positive test, then IMO Crowley joins saad as a player who did something dumb rather than being a raging drug cheat. Unfortunate for him but with a positive test he's staring down a season ban at least. Would be a shame if this ended his career because as much as he annoys me as a player he has worked hard to achieve what he has and doesn't deserve have his career ended with a "drug cheat " label
As I said earlier the players should have authorised painkillers at home just in case. If you don't then yes make the phone call. It is a career o r death decision. No room for risk taking. Doctors often get called out at night.so you call the doctor at 2am in the morning?

Not good enough, when you work up north and your sick and you have to fly out you check and have non-pseudoephedrine flu meds. Its his own fault the rules are pretty clear.
you have more class than that - most have sympathy for a dumb mistakeLet's just make sure that we treat this case like we would if it involved any other club.
At a minimum- it looks like very unprofessional conduct.
Not all opiates are banned. It's an opiate isn't it?
It metabolises into morphine I believe.
Yep Codeine is classed as an OpiateIt's an opiate isn't it?
It metabolises into morphine I believe.
