If Carlton has indeed offered O'Keefe a contract, how about a 3-way trade with Fremantle?
Sydney Lose - Ryan O'Keefe, Pick 30
Sydney Gain - Pick 6
Carlton Lose - Pick 6, Pick 24
Carlton Gain - Ryan O'Keefe, Robbie Warnock
Freo Lose - Robbie Warnock
Freo Gain - Pick 24, Pick 30
Sydney and Fremantle would definitely be happy with that. Carlton fans will more than likely complain about losing their first two picks, but it is worth it for the two players that they would be receiving. If Carlton fans want more picks, they have other players they could trade for picks.

Ryan O'Keefe can play on the wing as a link man to use the ball to Lucas and Lloyd.
Something like this could work: Freo get a decent pick for Warnock giving them 2 x 1st rounders, Blues get 2 quality players, Swans get Kerr and Eagles get a top 3 pick.
Freo give up Warnock and pick 3
Blues give up pick 6
Swans give up pick 12 and O’Keefe
Eagles give up Kerr
Freo get pick 6 and pick 12
Blues get O’Keefe and Warnock
Swans get Kerr
Eagles get pick 3
Maybe a couple late picks here and there to even it up a bit.

Okeffe big chance of going to Carlton now. its what they just said on the news and the talk of Ratten and Roos at the draft camp was about it. Feel that Ratten offered pick 24 to him but Walls then said later that a player like him would warrant a first round draft pick.
Surely Carlton cant get Warnock and Okeffe both in there salary cap. I think Warnock is a big chance to go to the demons now for pick 17 or 19.
Also Roos said officially that they wont get Kerr. So don't add him in any more trade deals. Always said it wouldn't happen.

Make no mistake about it Warnock and ROK will not command market value simply because they want to leave and are out of contract. It's a no-brainer.
Bookmark Warnock to be at Carlton after Freo waste everybody's time and finally come to the party and accept pick 24. However, if I were Carlton I would have offered a 3rd round pick and said take it or leave it to make them sweat and burn.
ROK will be traded for either second round pick + a player or a combination of 2 serviceable players and or draft pick. Collingwood would be slight favourites ahead of Carlton because they would have more leverege in a trade deal (second rounder) because ROK will not command a first round pick and the greater cap space. However, Carlton may want him just that little bit more and therefore get him over the line. Either way Blue or Magpie for ROK.

Carlton have reportedly thrown a 3 year deal worth $1.5 million at him.
That won't get him there. He'll get that from the Swans if we couldn't get Kerr. Roos will shake the tree & find the extra money to keep him. He traded Schneider to keep Jolly. ROK IS NOT......................I repeat...........is not holding the Swans to ransom for the sake of 50K per year. I can't even believe that Carlton only offered 3 years.
There is NO club out there that will come close to giving Rhino what he will get at the Swans.
I've posted it a number of times. Unless there all of a sudden is some bad blood between Roos & ROK, then expect him to stay a Swan if we don't get a first rounder for him.
This whole exercise has been pre-organised to see what may come of it.
Quite clearly it's becoming more & more obvious that ROK is not worth as much as he & Roos thought he was.
Roos now has a fair price with which to start renegotiating with ROK but we can all rest assured that it won't be for the 600K & 4 years that he would have asked for before this whole exercise got underway.
Swans are in the box seat. Irrespective of whether he is in or out of contract. ROK will in no way put himself in the PSD & leave the Swans with nothing.
