I agree ...but he started more as a pop star than a rock star .....and rock music wasn't in anything he'd done previously .....so the media felt he wouldn't pull it off ...of course AC-DC at that point were not much more than an average pub band themselves

Bon Scott was a talented musician but his heart was in pounding rock n roll... he doesn't have the close mindedness of the Angus and Malcolm hence his more varied past, but as a hard rock frontman he couldn't be beat.
