Greetings and welcome to the Sweet FA Rising Star award for season 29 where we identify and showcase the very best of this crop of rookies.

Last year's Rising Star award, hosted by Barrybran saw a departure from the method used in S27 with Barrybran using his very own Baz Stats to determine who received the nomination each week. This seasons Rising Star will continue down the path of being purely statistical, but a few things are changing.
The first change is compared to last season where no one wanted to work with Barry, this season will be run by a group of S28 rookies. We all have different areas which we are in charge of and will be bringing a few different things to the plate. The second change is that instead of using Baz Stats, I am using my very own patented Aunty's Rookie Scoring Equation. A highly complex and rigorous formula to determine which rookie had the most impact for their team during a match and calculates the amount of A.R.S.E points each rookie scores.
Each week I will be posting two leaderboards. One for A.R.S.E points and one for match thread posts made by rookies. The rookie with the biggest A.R.S.E each week will receive the nomination. A rookie can only be nominated once. Points aren't awarded for match thread posts, but it will be useful for tracking how the Bombers rookies are going.
At the end of the H&A season the class of S28 will look at the nominations and decide who should win the award, taking everything into consideration.

The S28 rookies will also be conducting interviews with S29 rookies throughout the season and Bloodied52 will pop in every now and then with a few segments of his own including;
Kaboom of the Week - I will cite a handful of clever posts from Rookies, especially when the post responds to a patronising comment about their Rookie status. The winner maybe receives a cannon blast.

The Beandip Correction This will be something we overlooked (error in stats, overlooked quip etc) It would be published, where necessary, the following week.
So give a round of applause to Bloodied52, Strigoi, Riviat, Antonio BlueVein and Barrybran because this award would have died without them and to any rookies following along, these are the people you will want to suck up to.
