The closest comparison I can think of is Gareth Southgate as England manager (currently 8 years). However, if he doesn’t win the upcoming Euros it’s likely his time will be up.

We haven't beaten anyone of the top 5 in premiership betting. We are in fact ranked equal 8th. That's a pretty good indication of how we are going.

To be fair, we should have seen the writing on the wall in the first Showdown at AO when Hinkley snapped like a Rottweiler at Shaun Hart for putting his hand on his shoulder.

In hindsight, a perfect example of his complete inability to handle the slightest bit of scrutiny and pressure.

Unfortunately, we were all still blinded by the new coach bounce and fairy dust from the AO move. Wouldn’t even last another 12 months though.

My recollection is that most on here were fine about it, they saw it as a sign that Ken was completely focused on the game and what was happening on the field. But now that everyone hates Ken that doesn't suit the agenda.

This is pretty sound.

Has a fleet of Rolls Royces playing turgid, defensive football with seemingly no way to get any chemistry happening. Gold passes (although that's changed with the most recent squad). Players who he just seems to dislike despite their obvious quality. Undeservedly arrogant in the face of any criticism. His supporters always bring up his record vs the past, ignoring the fact that the squad is so much better and the previous era is a shocking baseline. Supporters on average hate him.

He did make a final which hurts his Hinkley comparison, but in that final his side had just 1 shot on target despite a wealth of attacking talent.

Yeah I feel the same. At the time he was a super passionate and intense coach and that translated well to the performances.

Now he's a blobfish.
