Looks like he's gone, too.

Not trolling. I think you'll find I'm right.

:confused: if your looking on our rookie list and cant find him and thats your source then check our senior list :thumbsu:

Still nothing official from Saints. But if its true then its kinda worrying cos we have no tall forwards left on our list. Walsh, Lynch, Johnson, Cahill, Gamble all gone. Must have a few lined in draft or something.....

Watters has committed to developing the 202cm Rhys as a forward, and most seem to rate Sippa quite highly. If Archer does back to being developed as a forward (hardly played there all year) then we have some backup.

Or maybe Watters has been reading BF for some tips, and someone finally bought my argument about BJ (who has said in the past he is 192cm) in the F50!

So we're going to find EIGHT! picks in this draft???

Would still be 7 as he is officially on the rookie list still. If he survives & we promote him we will use 6 picks, as the club has said they plan on since end of trade week.

Geez I'd be pissed if he goes.

Would be another scalp to Lyon.

Well let's hope so. All of us can fill an assistant's role on a rotational basis!

I've contacted the club to cover us in the sad event that Heyney is de-listed and not rookied.

Yeah , but we didnt need to trade for a draft pick to promote a Rookie with, so I guess the 6th pick was always intended to be a genuine draft pick.

Not sure here, but he was one of the names I received via text about an hour ago. No more detail than that.

Peake was also named as a "probable" delisting.

I think some of the names mentioned would make good rookies.

Interesting that the club obviously rates the draft highly enough to hand out six 2 year deals (assuming they are not drafting a player who has already been on another list) ahead of the existing guys - most of whom have shown patches of good footy.

I normally don't care about who has the "inside running" on issues, but this one has me needing (OK, maybe needing is a bit strong) urgent confirmation.

Stanley, Archer, Ferguson.

These boys should be hungry, spots for the taking for talls on our list, work hard and apply pressure guys!

Totally agree Squizzy, Goddard would be the premier CHF of the modern era IMO. Takes a screamer, can kick running goals streaming into the 50, a great architect of setting up play.

We could move Dal down back, Armo back into the middle, and BJ to CHF

I hope Darch isn't gone, because if he is I get a horrible feeling we may get Fev or Setanta or Mark Blake, and all of them give me the shudders.

Wow, 2008 draft let us down a tad hey...

I remember we all felt it was a pretty decent crew at the time...

A lot can change in 2 weeks eh?

Still nothing official which is strange.

So one left?

3 actually.. Simpkin, Dawson & Stanley (if you include rookies)

I tended to place alot of faith in the Burgatron - even in retrospect his comments are interesting.

He speculated that Lynch would go at pick #17, and that most recruiters had seen him as a top 20-25 selection.

Rhys and Heyney did look interesting picks though.

Watters ruled out Fev (but I'm tempted to kick start the other thread again :D) and Blake has retired. Still leaves the other one though. After kicking 4 goals against us, there is slight appeal for me (along with being able to help in the ruck). He also gets brownie points for giving Cloke a well-deserved kick in the arse.

I'm more worried about him giving our own players a kick in the arse, though you could argue that both Cloke and Ackland deserved it. :D
At least AFL means he's not running round with a stick anymore.
