If the money differential is as big as eluded too the club has to be pushing for something like Frost and P22 for P11.
lol no hope you'll get our pick 11 - we plan on using it before having to match a bid on Finn.

Really don't think Hawthorn would entertain that unless the money is significantly more than I reckon it is

So what’s the deal for a 26yo best 22 KPD that just finished in the top 10 of his club’s BnF that you are “reportedly” offering a shit ton of money for. Note I read $600k pa but I don’t recall if that was a post or an actual article

I doubt the offer is anything out of the ordinary, it's just not the hawthorn way.

Frost out of contract, this will be pretty straightforward.

Won't be accepting anything less than Hawthorn's 2nd round pick (currently 30)
He's worth more to us than what we'll get back in a trade which is why Dees fans are flat about losing him.

Talks of a third round pick or less are ludicrous

He didn’t even have an offer from Melbourne at the end of the season... he won’t be worth much pick wise.

If Melbourne thought that he would have had a contract offer in front of him a long time ago.

Sam Frost to request a trade to Western Bulldogs tomorrow

Obviously the Dogs mustn't think Keath is good enough.

No worries….then you can have Birchall for pick 3 & we'll call it even.:drunk:

Club needs to work out Elliott, Langdon and Tomlinson trades/contracts first. But the bloke just finished in the top 10 in the BnF so to think the club doesn’t rate him is incorrect, and it’s the same reason a number of clubs enquires about him.

Top 10 in a side that finished next to last & where the ball was down in your defence for most of the season.

If your club rated him so highly then you'd have already signed him....Fact is you have 2 key central defenders that you rate ahead of him, that battled injury all year.

Sign Tomlinson....lose Frost............FMD........classic Dees.

Mate you do not get to the end of the season without a contract offer if the club rates him highly.

Dees should have offered him a contract if they rated him. A shame really. Frost has a bit of mongrel in him and goes hard. Does the best he can at all times and often does the job. Hawks will improve his ball use a bit and he will be a good player for them. Hawthorn has the perfect system for him. Looking forward to seeing him go well next year.

Club rates him. He is worth a lot. But not so much as to actually offer him a contract for his value.

Hrmmm.

I assume we will offer 3 to 4 years of very good but not great money.

No idea which pick. Wont be 1st or 2nd. Maybe 3rd with our 4th to GWS for Patton.

Not sure we should really look at the Dees B&F as any type of barometer, Jack Viney came 3rd afterall...

Late pick gets this done, easy.

Don't want Frosty to go, mainly because it means Oscar McDonald is one place closer to getting a regular game.

Frost is a hard player to place. He does some awesome things and is a very impressive athlete, but then half a minute later he will s**t the bed and cough up a goal.
Do you think that some players should be instructed to kick into long to contest, rather have them spot kick?

It won’t be Oscar McDonald who takes his spot. Harrison Petty has been developing nicely as a young key position player and I know the club rates him highly. Think he’ll slot in nicely in Frosty’s spot
