I've got him in my backline atm alongside 4 premiums and 5 rookies

Personally I wouldn't pick him. I can't see him being a keeper so he's too expensive to pick if you don't plan on having him in your team the whole year.

Bolton? A 31 year old coming back from injury who averaged 50 odd when he was playing last year.

Peter Faulks or Nick Lower?

Both mature age recruits at Freo. Have Faulks at the moment but after the NAB cup games it looks like Lower might be ahead. I know it is only NAB but Lower just seems more at home at the level then Faulks. At this stage anyway. Thoughts?

Just wait till the week before round 1, you might know more by then. I'm wating on my team till then now.

Definitely Gibbs. Proven 100 pus averager 2 years straight. Broughton yet to get there.

There are 3 must haves in the backline (especially with Lake out) and that's Goddard, Gibbs and Deledio.

True, But Broughton is a handy player. I chose both Gibbs and Broughton. I think Gibbs will possibly be maybe 105 Broughton 100. Not much diff. But I'd go for both.

had the dreaded achilles injury last year.. he won't avg more then 70 I would of thought.. I'd take a punt on a rookie or even Easton Wood.

Bombersno1 hit the nail on the head stabface. That is exactly my thinking re:Lake anyway.

Having Lake, Bolton & Otten in the same line is very very risky IMO HallamHawk. Bolts is pushing it age wise and achillies are notorious career enders (*wipes tear from eye*).

I reckon it is an ok backline ... might trade out Grimes or Gilbee for Heath Shaw ... he seems to go ok in this format???

Ive got... lake adcock krackour (gc) otten LRT and Rivers....im almost tempted to take a punt on hunt (i was a poet and didnt know it)

deleted all bar hunt (very solid and will play 22 games), otten and krackor...added gibbs, fisher and delidio

Personally it annoys me that noobs can have just as good starting teams as fantasy guns who put in all the research.

Yeah Toy was a bit more noticeable than Coad, although both scored ok (wouldn't read too much into that anyway).

Problem with GC is how many players can you fit in a back six, and I mean Gold Coast's back six not your supercoach team. Ie.

Bock
Krak
campaigner
Brown
Harbrow
Coad
Toy
Tape
Hutchens

No doubt alot of the young guys will get games throughout the year, but they might not have job security like the more experienced or older guys.

yeah cheers mate, early days yet... already changed my line up twice since that post! ottens is the only one remaining.. for now
