Schulz off to Port for Mitch Farmer?

It'll get done. I know people are keen to get get Schulz out but Port have the Burgoyne thing to focus on. So all we can do is have patience for when they fill in the papers. WE have a good relationship with Port, so I can't see anything stopping the informal agreement that has been established.

Can't see why they can't just do the deal regardless and if they are going to wait until the Burgoyne deal is done the way it's going neither will get done.

Maybe the second round pick they get from Hawks via dons is involved?

Schulz and pick 35 for Farmer and pick 26 (sourced from trade of Williams to Dons and then sent on for Burgoyne)?

Just a thought. I know - Calm down, Tiger...

I'll ask it again.

Why do some Richmond fans think we should be getting the upgrade in this deal?

We should be downgrading just to thank the lord that we have removed yet another inanimate log from the list.

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on why the Tigers would sign Jay Schulz to a two year contract at the end of the 2008 season?? I believe they did everything they could to try and trade him last year, and obviously Port seemed very very keen and it didn't quite get done. Why then, for a player they clearly didn't want to keep, would they possibly sign him on for another two years?? One maybe, for back up purposes....beyond me!!

I hope it is picks being the hold up whilst I know no one else will probably want Schulz but we could be looking elsewhere for something for him rather than waiting.

My guess is we signed him in the hope that we could finally get a deal for him done with Port.

Because in a team that has mid field talent with footy smarts, a player like the Sarge can compliment it. One thing the Sarge has that alot at tigerland didnt is footy smarts and for a big man his closing speed is real good and when he was lurking as a loose man in our defence, his vision when he had the ball was good. Thats what Port sees, we also see it doesnt happen consistently...and they think they can solve that problem...the end. ;)

guys please dont devalue our players by posting crap about them !!

think of other teams & what they are going through .

if richmond offered carlton shulz & tuck plus pick 69 or what ever
carlton today would take that up in a minute. & probably pay half his wage aswell.

That's the truth. If we manage to get rid of Shulz in this trade period, then it has been a massive success for the RFC.
