Clarkson would manipulate the match-ups so that he's directly opposed to Hodge and his foot skills would destroy us.
I imagine Bellchambers will come in and take most of the ruck duties.
Ryder will play the role Fletcher has been playing and ruck relief.
Pears and Hooker will take Buddy and Roughead.
Either way, it's scary but at least we'll be seeing some kids have a crack.
Hooker did hold Brown to two goals in a half and he had to move wide and outside 50 to get both (one from a free) and Pears, whilst being beaten by bigger opponents is at least showing something. I expect both players to get beaten but here's hoping they learn something.
Neagle will replace Lucas. If we can isolate him in the square, I actually think he'll do quite well. He's strong and explosive.
His arms look pencil thin. I'd say the huge swelling on the elbow doesn't allow him to do any gym work and he's losing strength and confidence.
Hird said on On the Couch that they made a mistake with Scotty during the preseason because they focused on him kicking and not enough running and he doesn't have enough miles in his legs.
I reckon it's a combination of the above + old age.

It became a bit of a no-brainer unfortunately. I dont think playing him for Bendigo is going to achieve anything. Give him a week of rest, get him back for a bit of training next week and give him a run ''first up'' so to speak and hope for the best.
