Scott & Michael to be charged.

I hope they are charged.

This is not the public face of football that we want to show.
(Cowards ganging up on the injured)

But my beef is Charman.

Jamie Charman must be charged for his hit on Nick Riewoldt.

He ran in and jumped into the contest where Riewoldt was in the air contesting a mark. Charman never had eyes for the ball. He is guilty of CHARGING and should be on holidays for a while.

This hit is where Nick Riewoldt's collarbone was injured IMO.

Riewoldt still went after the next mark with a broken collarbone and it became obvious that he was seriously hurt.

The two Hopoates came running in to finish him off.

Could you post a video or screen capture of it? Every piece of footage I've seen shows something different so I'd like to clarify.

No, you'll have to take my word for it, I have no reason to lie
I'm sure you'll see enough of it in the news over Monday & Tuesday, so just keep your eye out

I'm sure I will, now we all have to just wait for the tribunal hearing. Should be an interesting one

Saw the other angle of the incident today. While there is certainly a trainer in shot, he's not running with (or even near) Reiwoldt. In fact after the first hit on Reiwoldt the trainer doesn't even stop so I don't think he even saw what happened.

STOP your crying, his injury happen when he the turf trying for the mark
NOT whem Charman bumped him.
Why not charge Hamill , his action was the worst of the night.

this is the biggest non event of the year (i'll guess it will be)

all you whingers saying suspend those dogs.... as others have said. what the hell would you do had he'd stayed on (which he looks to be doing), balls kicked to him and micheals/scott line him up at full pace. 6 weeks < season? i think not....

did anyone complaining watch the footage? if those little baby bumps hurt him so much then he simply should have not been on the field. if he's so hurt in the shoulder how come he could lift up his arm to push away Michael on the second attempt?

but the balls not near them is another arguement. have you been to a football game? does that mean bumps before the ball is even bounced should result in a free kick? what about just bumping while the balls at the end? that'll be a fun game.

i can't believe so many people think what they did is wrong

smart play by the lions. and those little bumps or not, i'll bet $50 he would have been out for 6 weeks anyway because he's ALREADY INJURED from the fall

If he was in the play and attempting to contest the ball then all doubt about "fair game" would be ended.

Again, as you all fail to read - the problem is not that he was bumped. Bumping and jostling is part of the game, whether on the ball or off, and long may it continue to be so. It's that he was repeatedly hit, by two players working together, miles behind the play. What, they both needed to be on Riewoldt with the ball that far away? If he's obviously at least a little injured and therefore impaired in his ability to play the game - as both Brisbane players have admitted they knew? Wow, he's a dangerous player, that Riewoldt. Even at obviously below playing standard he still needs two taggers.

Tell me the bit where double-teaming an obviously injured guy is "part of our game", because I missed that.

Just in case you missed it, Thomas has come out and said it's a non-event, Riewoldt has come out and said it's a non-event, Voss has come out and said it's a non-event, past players have come out saying it's a non-event. The only people who are saying it's something amazingly wrong is parts of the media and some fans who strangely act as if they've never seen a bump used in an AFL game in their lives.

Reiwoltd declared himself "fully fit" by shrugging off trainers and running 30 metres back to his opponent.

If they are going to charge the 2 Brisbane guys for a touch like that then every AFL player in the history of the game might be making a visit to the tribunal soon.
