Re: Thompson's cheap tricks

I dare say our 'pixies' beat you fairly easy in contested possessions, and could have won by a great deal more, if we actually cared to... What does that make you guys..?

18 more contested possessions. 104 uncontested possessions more.

Re: Thompson's cheap tricks

I'm not gonna continue this conversation, as it's resorting to cheap shots that don't benefit anyone, and this isn't my board. In all sincerity, good luck for the rest of the season, we're a lot better than you, but in two or so seasons, I feel that might just be reversed. Good luck going forward, and I can't wait to see Petrie back!
fair enough, cheers.

Both were the most pathetic reports I've ever seen. McMahon's knee in particular.
Consistent with the standard of umpiring all day. It was amazing what they could fail to see (eg Hall throwing the ball in a tackle, Harding getting his arms grabbed when taking a mark in the first 1/4, Picken scragging Harvey off the ball, Spud getting flattened from behind when they had paid the downfield free), or at least fail to act on........yet they managed to see things that weren't there.

Re: Thompson's cheap tricks

LOL, take it easy. Who is sulking over being thrashed by 70 points? Thompson should get at least 4 weeks suspension for his cheap tricks. As for the Doggies never winning a flag. LOL. Time will tell.

Time has told *******.
You havnt been good enough to win won for the past 56 years, you arent good enough now and certainly wont be good enough in a couple of years.
As a last ditch effort for your longtime premiershipless coach (fits in well at the dogs huh?), he gets in a cowardly, thug like Hall to try and toughen up a soft team.
Good luck with that and fantastic stuff by Thommo,Pratty,Grima,McMahon or anyone else who got stuck into that piece of terd who no one likes or wants in the comp.
Maybe Hall should try running back with the flight occasionally, like Carey and Brown did/do.
But we know this sort of courage isnt in him.
I hope you guys do make the G/F, so that Geelong, The Saints or whoever can expose Hall like he was in 2006, when he cost Sydney the flag.

Re: Thompson's cheap tricks

We know why we lost. Because it was essentially men against boys. Because we failed to convert our chances. Our team is young and will learn, so maybe that's why we're not up in arms over losing to the Dogs.

My point is that, following the teams we do, we're both horribly biased. They're not.

Oh, they are. The demographic of BF, especially the main board and Bay 13, means most of them have spent their teenage and early adult lives watching their teams getting bent over by North, and they take every opportunity now to stick the boots in over crowds, finances, relocation, anything they can. On the other hand very few living people who can work a computer have ever seen the Dogs do anything remotely threatening, so they can't be bothered hating them or baiting them.

I think I'll give them all a rest. I see our forwards get pushed and harrassed every week, as I'm sure every forward does, to the limit of the umpiures' tolerance and the defenders' energy. It's only because Hall allowed himself to overreact - and that everyone's been waiting for him to - that anyone's talking about Thommo at all.

Ahhhhhhhhh H to h, succinct and bang on as usual :thumbsu:

Re: Thompson's cheap tricks

Thompson:thumbsdown: was relentless on Hall and the umpires stood there and watched it happen. At least North Melbourne got a few cheap goals out of it. Hell, you needed them.

Up until now i didn't mind the doggies, but the way they've winged about this is pathetic, especially Eade, where were Hall's teammates throughout all this, Cooney aside they abandoned him to fend for himself. Apart from Hall the bulldogs are a bunch of Jane's dressed up like Tarzan, and unfortunately for them the Premiership Window has arrived and will close shortly without them getting the prize, because they are weak of mind and body.
