I would be guaranteed to break a tooth on that. Which is what I did at the footy on Friday night eating popcorn. Was watching the game and shovelling the popcorn in and CRACK! Bit down on an unpopped one. Just to really make my night a fun one!

Roys, apparently there is another game this week. Why ? I don't know. I thought they would have called everything off after last season - but ruour has it we are still playing matches.

This week, it's the Gumbies (pictured below)



I think Barrybran is second from the right, striking an impressive Adelaide Crows style power stance....

I suspect he'll take them on a camp once we beat them this afternoon...

So get in here and point and laugh. Doesn't have to be at the opposition I suppose, it could be at the Furies...

I was at the 2005 semi final between Geelong and Sydney at the SCG.

Man that last quarter was something incredibe, I drove up with a few Geelong mates of mine who had a spare ticket.

Was very quiet on the drive home to Melbourne (we left back to Melbourne straight afterwards)

Still get goosebumps thinking about that last quarter from Nick Davis. Never seen anything like it before or since.

I was there that night too!! Davis was one of my favourite players at the time, and no word of a lie at 3 quarter time I turned to the mates I was there with and said “Don't worry, don’t worry, Nic Davis is going to kick 6 goals in the last quarter and win us the game”

Obviously I was wrong and it was only 4, and in truth I didn’t even believe what I was saying. It was all the false bravado a dumb young footy supporter. Sitting there watching the game we just looked absolutely cooked… the 23 point margin in a low scoring game felt like about 7 goals in any other contest.

I was at that game also, sat on the forward flank, far side, & it was shattering because we’d done a number on Goodes & Hall, who at the time were basically your best players & bloody Davis steps up. As a 14 yr old at the time it was the first match I’d ever felt truly heartbroken after a match. But in the long run I think it did us a lot of good.

Oh god yes can only imagine what it would have felt like being on the wrong side of it But yes 100% it did help the side long term. They had a shocker in 2006 (maybe the side was still so young it did a number on them) but I reckon the lessons learnt held them in very good stead after that.
