Now, the REAL SEASON BEGINS.

First thing i thought of when the results come through and the winner said he's not giving up work was public service.

The guy could put the whole lot in the bank and live off the interest - even 1% means $1.5 million per year. Even my missus would struggle to spend $30k a week, although I'm sure she'd give it a good crack.

you are usually capped on the amount you can make interest on, most banks its around 200k ish.

banks are not as dumb as us phil.

he'd get a better return in mutual funds or just by having it sit against the ASX nominal growth.

his best return is putting the whole $150m on me on me kicking 6 this week, oh wait, its paying $1.02.

As a fellow Leeds man I understand, but they fell off the wagon towards the end of the season it wasn't surprising.

I'd been following Tottenham and Leeds throughout the season and both finished very poorly after strong starts

Everton are my favourite premier league team and i like Sheffield Wednesday in the championship.

Between Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Leeds there's going to be some fun Yorkshire derbys next season!

In fact, us winning does the Rats a favour as they get to play another week…against an opposition they aren’t such huge underdogs against! So it’s a blessing to lose to the eventual S37 champions really.
