I don't think Sea Patrol ever made it to US broadcast networks.

I'm always baffled by the fact our junk TV (Neighbours, Home and away and now Sea patrol) is what is exported overseas.

Sea Patrol isn't that bad, obviously targeting a young teen attention and social conditioning level. I'd call it OK mindless video fare.

They must think we are a bunch of idiots.

Pretty sure the general dreck spewing out of the US content volcano underscores our general idiocy level far more than a lowbrow Aussie TV show.

All the Southern US has been making that argument for decades... the problem is that the TX all-hats haven't yet figured out that the best BBQ involves pork.

Hell, in NC the eastern and western halves can't agree on the best sauce.

Yeah, it kinda is. Regional food boosterism is a really interesting subject, but the "barbecue" arguments can be epic.

I hear that in Kentucky, they make a mutton-based BBQ, never had any of that.

(And despite my comments, TX BBQ beef brisket is really good.)
