The most dissapointing thing is that this has nothing to do with the rain.

This was always my concern.

After our start to the season we've had to be on the redline for 4 months straight.

Eventually we had to go off the boil and its coincided with Geelong playing out of their skins.

The problem here is lack of skills and lack of spread. We can't hit a target and when we do we can't mark it and we can't get the ball consistently enough to spread expecting to receive it. I think actually the past three weeks - Carlton, bye and Essendon have cost us a sense of pressure on the ball and we have panicked all game into bombing ball to massive packs. The opposite is the case at the other end. They genuinely look like scoring every time. If it wasn't for Hawkins dropping simple marks it would be even worse.

We still can win this but we've got to start winning the ball in the middle - but as soon as we do they'll move Dangerfield there...

Be interested to see frees against Rampe since he received criticism in the media (name escapes me). Seems to get crucified now.

I would like to see him not have to be a key defensive post next year.

Game isn't over but it isn't looking good. When we get it on the inside they have more numbers around the ball and we cannot get a clean outside user. Then, either our forwards don't get separation or we kick to a 2 on one (or straight to a Geelong player).
