anyone else a bit concerned about the Ratten factor?

As far as I can recall, Hardwick has only defeated him once (rd 1 2013, & it felt like an * with Garlett missing a pud at the death)

Its not an issue really,

The only time we actually had a good team against a Ratten coached side was early this year and that was us at our worst for the year.

Need a solid win with no injuries or undisciplined acts that may result in a suspension. Love a percentage booster, but accept a win first, % after
The draw means the % is irrelevant. Just win

2013 Malthouse was coaching

Ratten is a good coach, and teams he coaches become good teams. 2010-12 Carlton was a good team that beat up on Richmond because we were still shit. That accounts for 6 of the 7 games Dimma has coached against Ratten.

I also highly respect the excellent contributions our umpires make, not only to the game but to our wider community.
That’s the spirit, all hail our umpires and the hard work they have done to keep the season alive this year.

Dimmas presser after the r4 loss to the Saints and he was scathing of the undisciplined acts, especially giving away two cheap goals in the third.
We only lost 2 more H&A after that game.

I’m not concerned at all, look at the record we had at the Gabba and against the Lions that didn’t change a thing last week.

Ah yes - good call ... in which case, I'm not sure Dimma has actually defeated Ratts

Shouldn't count for anything of course

Bring our finals level pressure from the start and we should win well, bring any less and they will make life difficult for us.

They play an exciting brand, they will move the ball quickly and take risks. As long as our pressure is up, we will create enough turnovers and scoring opportunities to win.
If it's not up - especially early - they will score quickly and will be tough to reel in. The longer they are in the game, the more their confidence will grow, and our job will get increasingly more difficult. If we are comparing ourselves to Hawthorn in 2015 - they led by 38 at quarter time of their semi and won by 74. That's where the bar is set.

Interesting to see how run the game out .
Lynch first game in 4 weeks
Broad 6 weeks
Prestia 1 game in 12
Bolton 1 game in 4
Astbury 2 game in 10
Edwards 2 games in 10
Add Nank and Houli restricted games and we're in interesting territory.

When you put it like that.....🤔

Need to be switched on right from go.Get the game on our terms discipline display. To many un tigers things last week .Pressure and tackling super important the ball carrier ,forward line and midfield needs to do there part.Take our chances when dominating super important and delivery in 50 needs to be spot on.Cannot have passengers tonight need 22 firing no exuses tonight.

I think we need to expose the Marsh matchup will be most likely on Jack and isolate Lynch one on one on Howard.

If we don't win the flag this year this is probably where the issue lies. An extra 5 rounds on the season would've been nice.
If these guys run games out perfectly and we do win the flag, our conditioning staff are even better than we thought.

This is why I think losing last week could be a blessing in disguise. The 2 byes wouldn’t have helped some players like Prestia, Shedda and Astbury
